Sin Cara a legend? Demolition equals awesome. No Mr. Perfect? No Ted DiBiase? No Honky Tonk Man?
Fuck.

I just copied the lineup from the website. Sin Cara was down there with the legends, which is why it says "LEGENDS/OTHERS"

Sin Cara was listed as a superstar on the list I saw. Also remember Bull, many left to be announced, and Downloadable Content is a big deal this time. So I'd definitely expect some big DLC names later. The most obvious to me is HBK.

Michael Cole and Trish Stratus got confirmed when somebody hacked the website and leaked the info. Cory Ledesma confirmed it on Twitter.

I was at the West Coast Developer's summit and had a chance to play a build of this game. If you played last years... or the year before... you already played this. Expect different camera angles in a more TV like presentation. Otherwise, the only difference is that they want to take your money even more after the game is released by offering characters that are already on the disc.

Thanks for the heads up, Obi. lol,
I didn't mean to bash it for what it was worth. As a developer myself, I get annoyed when a publisher is lazy with their product. (Example: Madden) I do believe that if you have a successful product then a change may not be in order but the real question is.. if the product is successful and you would only end up replicating it.. why not just create an expansion pack for download via psn / xbox live? They could omit old stars and add new ones. Think of World of Warcraft or an MMO. They remove content and add new stuff as needed. It isn't hard these days. Repacking a product with more shine and a roster update is just dirty in my opinion.
I don't believe that Smackdown should be ended or drastically changed. I just think they should go the expansion pack route now. Also, they need to make a new WWE Legends game with the smackdown formula and engine. Quit with the legends of wrestle mania kiddie mode bullshit. Most folks who want to play the legends are older now and should be catered to.
I did say these things at the summit. They acted interested for what it was worth and told me that the "legends" game is a possibility they are thinking over. As for WWE 12, I stand by what I said. There will be a shit ton of DLC for the game if that is your thing. It just isn't mine. If I buy a game that is basically the same shit as last year's installment... don't charge me for the small bit of new content that you offer that is already on the disc. That's screwing me over twice.
Then again.. that is business.

Between Obi's words and the exclusion of my favorite wrestler (Great Khali...no, I'm not kidding), I'm definitely passing on this game. Also, is it me or do the animations just look a little....off? There's something strange about them that I can't quite put my finger on.

It could be I'm a WWE die hard but I don't mind forking out my dosh for a 'new' game every year.
OK they change the arenas and a handful of wrestlers based on who's new and who's fired. The only thing that bugs me is that I have to remake Stephen Callaway every damn year.
I think it was Obi who sugested an expansion pack. Release an expansion pack for SD'11 every November with new entrances and the new wrestlers (like Daniel Bryan, Husky Harris, A-Ry and Sin Cara for example) while keeping the same roster already on SD '11. It allows for a huge roster for the game (and freshens up the WWE Universe Mode) it also means I don't have to make Callaway every year and I can fill my downloadeds with TNA and ex WWE instead of Del Rio, Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara.

One of the things I'm looking forward to about this year, which I probably should have mentioned in the OP is Create-an-Arena. From what I've seen, you can change the barricade, apron, mats on the floor, canvas to whatever you want. Which means we could make EUW take over a video game lol

Create an Arena is something I'm looking forward to. I do a thing called the SML in another efed and I sim the matches on SVR '11 however, for WWE 12 I get to sim the matches in a specially designed (sort of) SML Arena.
Sad as I am I wanna play with the Create arena mode
