So, Victory Road has came and gone. Do I know the context behind it? No. I stopped caring about TNA months ago. I do know that Sting returned and flipped off WWE and then became champion instantly, beating out poor ickle Ken Anderson--Kennedy--Whatever, The Knockouts scene is still..decent, Hernandez is still dangerous, Russos still booking,Hogan and Flair are still lumbering around on zimmer frames, and that Jeff Hardy is starting to become the Lardy Hardy (Matts actually getting into slightly better shape, so kudos to him)
So, I heard a huge blow-up on the IWC about the main event of Victory Road. Now, I know that LOLTNA gets thrown around for some menial things..but the main event for Victory Road (All two minutes of it) takes the cake. So, without further ado, I present to you:
The Rise and Fall of TNA: Chapter 1,087: Victory Road 2011 -
There are several things disastrous with the match. Those with a keen eye will surely spot them (HINT: It's not just that lousy money-wasting excuse for a PPV)
((I recommend you peeps watch this ASAP. Chances are it'll probably get taken down.
Also, how does everyone feel that EUW can now officially put on a better Main Event than a real life wrestling federation?))

Wait... That was a PPV Main Event?
Those fans paying for their seats were fucking robbed! Surely that shit should not be legal!

Yeah, they paid. So did the people watching on Pay Per View. That's a lot of money crapped down the drain because Hardy showed up high for the match.
Well, I think he's high. He's certainly not all there.

...Wow. I don't have words for this.
Jeff certainly had piled on the pounds, but hey, if he's trying to be a heavyweight then I guess he needs to look the part.
That match is an absolute farce and I'm going to blame Vince Russo for it. It just reeks of all of Russo's old WCW crap that he used to pull that eventually killed the company.
Also: Do TNA fans even give a shit? They didn't cheer much, they didn't boo much... They just didn't really respond. Talk about a flat crowd.

For once I think it's safe to say Russo isn't to blame. All the reports are saying Jeff Hardy was "in no state to wrestle" so that's what they had to do. Jeff's to blame, and if the guy can't go one night without getting completely wasted on drugs knowing he has to perform he shouldn't have a job.

I don't think Russos to blame. I'm guessing something must have gone down backstage (The entrance was late. Might've just been hype for his entrance..maybe), Hardy was in a state (Notice, 3 minutes in, that the referee throws up the 'X' signal signifying that there is something wrong) and they needed to throw together a finish right there on the spot. It looks like it was even done in mid-match (Sting and the referee talk to eachother, then Bischoff comes out, stops in mid-promo, and talks to both Sting and Hardy) so I doubt we could've expected a meaningful change to proceedings.
I'm really interested in what the fallout will be. Hardy needs to go ASAP, and Sting was incredibly pissed (You can see him, at the end, going "I agree" to the fans chanting 'Bullshit'.) at what happened.

The funniest part of that is hearing the fans basically chant "Bullshit" and Sting saying "I Agree.....I Agree".
Not that I say he was wrong....but this is what Sting flipped off the WWE for? Look I can understand not wanting to work for Vince back in the day, he probably woulda buried or messed Sting up. But the product isnt R rated anymore and I think Vince seems very mellow and open minded anymore. Sting coulda got his archived footage, legends deal as well as some dream matches before he retired for good.
Instead he goes to this mess of a ship (Im sorry, TNA might have the talent....but it just seems destined to fail at this point. I get the vibe from half of them that they dont even care and go through the motions anymore, just like WCW's end of days). Sting seemed genuinely upset and ticked about the whole thing. I bet Jeff Hardy aint high (no pun intended) on Sting's respect list anymore, if he was to begin with. Say what you want about WWE....but they aint even close to this kind of crap anymore. There's certain ways to do squash title matches (ie: Ultimate Warrior beats Honky Tonk Man for IC title after a year reign)....but this and for the reason it happened is a joke.
I feel bad for the fans who had to endure this and pay for it..... and for Sting.

Pretty sure Hardy thought he was gonna get a kick out. Holy shit that was bad though. How much was the PPV?

Hmm, well if it's true that Hardy was high on something then I guess this is the best they could make of it. Honestly, the guy is a mess, and he's headlining their PPV? Has he been sacked? I mean, how many other professions are there where you can turn up wrecked and still keep your job?
...I don't take back what I said about Russo though. Jackass that he is.

Unfortunately TNA would rather squeeze all they can out of Jeff than make him get help. It sounds dramatic but if he was to die it would be their fault, and the sad thing is apart from losing one of their bigger "draws" (because really, who does actually draw in TNA with their God awful marketing?) I don't even think they'd give a shit.

My point is Jeff shouldn't be in a job right now, he should be getting help. TNA knew this when they hired him, but chose to do so anyway for their own benefit, and choose to allow him to do whatever the hell he wants when it comes to drugs. Yes, Jeff is an idiot, but TNA are at fault for indulging that behaviour for their own "gain".
Do you think if TNA were to release Jeff now WWE would immediately hire him and put him straight on TV without making him sort his shit out first? Not a chance.

Exactly. The thing is, there have been rumours that he's wrestled while clearly unfit to do so (ie; drugged up) before (Although not to this extent), I haven't seen it myself, but if it's true, then what the fuck are TNA playing at keeping him? Yeah, he's a huge draw, but there's a fucking line. Hmm, well if it's true that Hardy was high on something then I guess this is the best they could make of it. Honestly, the guy is a mess, and he's headlining their PPV? Has he been sacked? I mean, how many other professions are there where you can turn up wrecked and still keep your job? As of this minute, the dirtsheets are reporting Hardys been sent home from the iMPACT tapings. That's about it. No firing or anything. A lot of them are reporting though that the general feeling backstage is that the locker room are absolutely pissed with Hardys behaviour, which is them being Captain Obvious, because why should they bust their balls off, only for Hardy to show up wasted and end up crapping on what was (As I heard) a relatively-decent show? I understand that TNA are adamant that they "Cross the line", but I think this is taking that marketing gimmick a bit too fucking far.

That dude needs to work though. If he was fired, he would only spiral down hill and end up dead on the evening news.
