Ring Psychology: Rock solid in the technical approach, Ewan is dedicated and careful with each and every move he makes. His specialty ring-wise is “faking” where he acts like he will do one thing, making his opponent seriously believe he’s going to go through with a move, and then do something completely out of the blue, almost random if you will. For example, he may set himself up on the top rope and position for a moonsault despite seemingly having no rational reason to, then when his opponent recovers/notices and he thinks they’re approaching him, Ewan will jump backwards off the top rope, making sure he lands BEHIND his opponent, bounce off the opposing ropes, and then he drops his opponent with a running DDT or something similar. Bizarre and hard to really put into perfect words, but Ewan’s style and approach is to make everything highly relevant and make any part of his opponent open for attack sooner or later.
How should your character be used?
Cool like a cat on ice, Ewan is not necessarily all that violent. He is merely a man who goes with the flow in life more than anything, although he will step in if he truly feels it's necessary. He will not cheat to win or one-up someone, and believes that the rules are there to be served, not loosely followed and not forsaken altogether. This does not mean he won’t use someone’s slip-up to his advantage though, especially if someone else is the one trying to bend the principles of the squared circle. Even if he loses his temper, don’t expect to see brutal slugging, attacking, or other acts of poor sportsmanship.
Entrance: “New York, New York” by B.o.B hits as Ewan Jakeway walks out through the curtain and stops briefly to hold both hands into the air, pointing straight up to get the fans going. He punches his chest twice and points again before walking down the ramp, occasionally hitting his chest and pointing into the crowd or up to the ceiling until he reaches the bottom of the ramp. Ewan runs up the stairs and goes between the ropes before walking to the opposing corner. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and holds both hands into the air to continue getting the crowd going before he jumps off the turnbuckle and walks around, itching to get this match started.
Bio: Ewan, like many wrestlers, aspires to be one of the best someday. He is dedicated and can be described as ethical, rational, courteous, and rather aware of how things work. Coming from New York with nothing much to call his own, except for the outfit he wears and treats with respect and is always seen in, Ewan has already shown some impressive decision-making skills as he enters the EUW. His past is a mystery and he does not seem to have much of a life outside of his wrestling career, but given the thorough attention he gives to being physically and mentally prepped for the squared circle coming into Extreme United Wrestling every time, one might say he is plenty busy…if not a wee bit addicted.
Accomplishments: None.
