At Besieged, it will be Warrior taking on Meltdown for the most prized artifact in the industry. The EUW World Heavyweight Championship. But what kind of match will they fight in? You decide! Now take a look back at all the history between these two men.
Only two weeks ago. An ominous message appeared on MNS. Many people looked to the message, unable to decipher it. The message read as follows.
After some time, this message has since been deciphered and interpreted to have been a clue as to who would be fighting for the EUW World Heavyweight Championship at Besieged. Below is an explanation of each line in the clue. If you have not yet interpreted and wish to do so yourself, then skip the italicized lines below.
'Longing for an unaccomplished goal' represents Meltdown's lack of a World Heavyweight Championship reign. 'One of three hopes to fill the gaping hole' is a reference to Meltdown being only one of three men to have beaten Warrior. The 'gaping hole' is the void for which a World Title reign would fill. 'Breaking away from the continuing norm' references Meltdown' being the first to defeat Warrior and end his undefeated streak. And lastly, 'He who prevailed lies in the eye of the storm' represents Meltdown's victory over Warrior, while alluding to his previous alias as Philip Storm and 'The Eye of the Storm' having been one of Storm/Meltdown's finishers at the time.
Over the past few weeks, this long running rivalry has exploded yet again. From what began as a rookie feud between Philip Storm and Warrior in they're first times in EUW. Back in mid 2006. The two even fought at a PPV called Re-Volt. Over the period of several months, Warrior accumulated a total of five wins over Philip Storm. After his character change to Meltdown, the former Philip Storm finally accumulated a victory. Meltdown finally made Warrior tap out to end Warrior's undefeated streak. Now Meltdown looks to win the most coveted prize in the industry against his most bitter, and egotistical, rival.
The X-Factor of the whole situation though is, what kind of match will they fight in? It is up to you fans to decide! Each match type holds it's own significance. Warrior has had two Steel Cage matches in his career. And on both occasions, he did not leave that night the victor. One handed him his first and only draw, and the second was his first failed World Title shot against King Carter. Meltdown looks to have a distinct advantage against Warrior in his least favored match type.
On a night where EUW ventures to the great state of Texas, classic old west fights are no new thing for San Antonio. As another option, Warrior and Meltdown could fight to the finish in one of the most brutal and insane of match types. A San Antonio Street Fight. No Holds Barred. Anything Goes. Falls Count Anywhere. Anything and everything can happen!
And as the last choice, a true classic wrestling match. Meltdown is known for his submission specialty. Warrior though, is not seen by many as a 'submission sound' wrestler. Though it's not seen as often as his brawler and hardcore roots, Warrior no doubt can hold his own in such a match as this. Even a seasoned veteran like Meltdown would have a difficult time lasting long if Warrior managed to get in the War Cry, his version of the reverse indian death lock. But one key thing Meltdown holds over Warrior, is a submission victory. Warrior has tapped out to the Koji Dragon Clutch in the past. And history could repeat itself at Besieged.
