Ring Psychology
Kaji Fireson is, simply put, a hard worker. There are things that he probably shouldn't do with artifical spinal supports and a broken neck in his past, but he does them anyway. Top rope diving moves, some of his more intense lifting attacks, and really, just wrestling in general. But he does it because he loves it, and being the man in charge of his own promotion just isn't cutting it for him. He can't be a guy behind the desk, but he also refuses to wrestle for his own promotion, so he's going to go out and wrestle for someone else's, looking to prove that he still has what it takes to cut it in this business.
That said, he comes by his ring name, “The Phoenix,” for a reason. He will take a ridiculous amount of punishment and never give up, and it seems like he is at his strongest after he's been beaten down. His greatest moments have come just after the incidents where he nearly died, and the same can be said of his wrestling style, seeming to get more powerful, more intense as the match goes on, and turning things around right when they look the most hopeless. It helps that one of his finishing maneuvers is one that can be utilized at almost any time.
How should your character be used?
Like Shawn Michaels, in the later stages of his career. I didn't intend Kaji to turn into an HBK clone, but his finisher has been the Superkick for quite a while, and when he rose from the ashes of a near death fall and won a world title, the similarities were too powerful to ignore. He can fly when he wants to, and he has bursts of adrenaline where he'll wrestle like he's younger (or, in Kaji's case, less broken down), but on the whole, Kaji will be somewhat conservative with his energy. In the ring, he's good at pretty much any style, but he's great at none of them. If facing an expert in a style, he will be outdone in that style, but he will revert to a style that he knows better than that character.
Entrance: “Burn” hits the speakers and a ring of fire forms off to one side of the stage. The lights go down except for a few lights with red filters to cast a crimson hue over the arena. The ring of fire eventually finishes forming, and a figure begins rising from within the circle of flames. That man is Kaji Fireson, and as soon as he is even with the stage, he stands up and steps out of the ring of fire. He is beaming out at the fans assembled and slaps hands as he makes his way down to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope to get into the ring, at which point he pops up to his feet to gesticulate and appeal to the fans for a moment. Once the cheers die down, he retreats to his corner, stretching to keep limber as he waits for the match to start.
Bio: Kaji debuted in the professional wrestling world back in December 2005. He's taken a few dramatic spills, won a few titles, but still feels that he is lacking that one career defining moment. Not wanting to rely on his own fed to create that defining moment, knowing that it would be forever tainted by his nepotism if he had, he has come to EUW to create that moment for himself, so he can finally feel at peace with his career and retire properly to run his own promotion.
