Stephen Callaway sits in a director's chair in front of a gold EUW banner.
Stephen
"Last night, I was siting at home watching one of my favourite movies. There was a line spoken throughout the movie and it was 'It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me'. It got me thinking. I thought about what I do and how I am percieved and defined."
He leans back and picks at the fingerless glove on his hand.
Stephen
"Looking at the names on the roster I know, my friends and my family, they would all describe me as a witty guy. As a fun guy. Not mushroom for leverage is there? Geddit. Joking aside, I am viewed as talkative, friendly. Generally, a good guy to be around, always ready with a joke, batman quote. I'm a wrestling fan, a soccer fan, a doctor who fan.
When it comes to wrestling it's a different story. I watch my opponents matches over and over. I read their bio. I train on my speed if it's a tall four hundred pounder. MY strength and power if it's a four foot one hundred pounder. I think about any injuries my opponent has, any weak areas in his repitoire.
I am persieved as a chatty and fun. I am seen as obsessed and meticulus. I want to be seen as champion. I want to be defined as better than all others. As I sit here today, this is a signal of intent, a prior warning.
It's not the cheery guy I am underneath but being World Champion that defines me. That's how I want to be seen, champion. I want to be defined as champion. I haven't been World Champion in over five years. The closest I've been is a number one contender and then nothing the following month. EUW is my fresh start. My chance to pick myself up and start over in a brand new place. Is that what you wanted to hear when you clicked this video? Or did you just click and skip to the end so you can hear me cough out my catchphrase? If so, I ALWAYS have an Angle! Always."
