"Tonight, wrestling history will be made in Mexico City, as El Taquito Blanco faces off against Mr Tecnico. Not only will the winner become the Undisputed champion of the world, but the loser will have to remove their mask!"
An entire arena is packed with thousands of people, watching two men wrestle. One man is wearing a blue mask and tights with "El Taquito Blanco" written on them, while his opponent has black and white tights with a silver and black mask. The crowd is filled with fans wearing replicas of both men’s masks, along with signs supporting their chosen wrestler.
"It stands at one fall apiece, El Taquito Blanco having won the first with his lethal pile driver and Mr Tecnico landing a spectacular shooting star leg drop. After half an hour of action both competitors have proven that they are the two best wrestlers in Mexico, but one of them WILL unmask tonight!"
Tecnico is slightly smaller than El Taquito Blanco, and is backed into a corner defending against kicks to the ribs. Blanco backs out to the middle of the ring and charges at Tecnico, but is net with a high boot to the chest, knocking him back. Seeing his chance Mr Tecnico hoists himself up to the top rope, playing to the crowd before diving at Blanco and hitting him with a diving armdrag, throwing Blanco across the ring. Neither competitor looks done, crawling to their knees. They slowly stand up and meet in the middle of the ring, trading harsh blows. The smaller Tecnico is hit with a crushing right hook, flooring him. Blanco grabs Tecnico by the hair and lifts him up, hoisting Tecnico onto his shoulders,
"This could be it! Mr Tecnico looks done for!"
With a loud crash, Blanco drives Tecnico head first into the mat with a bone crushing death valley driver. Every man, woman and child in the audience is now on their feet, whether they are yelling for Tecnico to get up, Blanco to cover him or simply to see the action as Blanco collapses, crawling to Tecnico. With the last of his energy, Blanco drapes an arm over Tecnico. The referee and crowd count in unison - 1...2...3! The entire arena explodes in noise as Blanco and Tecnico lay still, maybe not even aware of what has happened. At least twenty people roll into the ring, some medics checking if the wrestlers are OK and some officials, ready for the mask removal and handing over of the titles. Slowly but surely both men come too, getting a standing ovation. An elderly looking man wearing a brown suit hands Blanco two belts, but the crowd is not paying attention to them. All eyes are on Mr Tecnico, who is leaning in the corner.
"And now, the moment of truth, as Mr Tecnico must remove his mask."
A hush quickly falls over the room, as the same man who handed Blanco the titles approaches Tecnico. "You've done well, but you lost. As per the match stipulation, you must now remove your mask". Tecnico looks him dead in the face, unable to move. "Please, no. I...I can't. This mask has been passed through my family. It's a tradition, please". The elderly man sighs loudly. "I'm sorry son. It has to be that way" he explains. "No, no it doesn't!" Tecnico yells as he limps out of the ring and down the steps.
"What? What is Mr Tecnico doing! He's refusing to remove his mask, spitting all over years of tradition!"
The audience don't understand what is going on, still silent. When Tecnico reaches the top of the stage, a few members of the audience realise what's happening. It starts with a few boos, but soon every person in the stands, balconies and floor standing area is booing Tecnico as he disappears behind the curtain.
"Mr Tecnico got his name because of his family tradition of honour, respect and fairness. Here today, Mr Tecnico is not just turning his back on wrestling; he is turning his back on his family, his opponent and all of Mexico. Such a man does not deserve to be called Mr Tecnico, this shameful display will surely see his name wiped from the record books and blacklisted from wrestling in Mexico again!"
As a near riot starts, the official from earlier is handed a microphone.
"Ladies and gentleman, today is a dark day for wrestling. I shall ensure that Mr Tecnico never wrestles again. In fact, from here on in he shall be referred to as Mr Rudo, because that's all he is, a despicable villain!". El Taquito Blanco's music plays, but is drowned out by fans booing, still enraged by the complete lack of respect shown by a man who was formally known as the most honourable man in wrestling.
