Well, show's up and this one is actually different from all the past shows I've done. This one is shorter and more to the point. There' going to be a major storyline, The Rivera Regime, with everyone playing a part in it and this show was more of a prologue to the storyline. The Calm before the Storm.
So what did you all think? Rivera's already begun making deals (and enemies) and it seems some feuds from the past have been re-ignited. Along with a number of other things. What was your favorite part? What did you like? What did you dislike? Spill it, boyos!

I liked this show more than shows past, and couldn't put a finger on why until you put up this thread - it's shorter.
I appreciate all of the hard work you do each and every week, but at times it seems like... too much. Everything is well written and organized and performed and compiled to the T. But, it's too much to read in one sitting, and I find myself losing interest very quickly. The promos are fun to read, the matches are exciting, the storylines are interesting and very well thought-out but I can't sit through it for the whole show.
Maybe that's just me, I don't know. But to me it's just too much. Seperately, everything that's put in to the show is stellar. I love the stories that are going, I love how there are individual feuds that all circle around a major backing storyline. I love that people throw in promos and how every match, no-show or not is an exciting match. Individually each piece is fantastic. But I think things could be cut down or re-formatted for an easier read. Maybe some of the promos could be moved to the EUW.com board throughout the week if it's not possible to cut down. And don't get me wrong, I think it is all necessary, but I personally can not get through it in one sitting. And that may only be just my opinion, everyone else may have a larger attention span than me, but I find myself skimming through a lot of it.

Hmmm....I see your point, Tom. I do sometimes get self-indulgent when I'm writing promos and I was thinking of posting some of the Initial Interview promos on EUW.com so I can definitely see myself being more careful with the upcoming shows in regards to length. I'd love to hear if the rest of you feel like this too so if you got something to say then go ahead.

I don't know, I sort of like how you have been doing things. Maybe I am coming from a different perspective though as I always felt that when I wrote the shows they were way too short. So take it for what it is worth.
Great show this week either way. The Xplode segment was sad for me. It was like the end of the old EUW being announced in my mind. Not that the new era is bad at all, just was a bit depressing, causing me to reflect and think about the other folks who have left in the past..

I favor the shorter shows, and I honestly think that the spreading out of things can only help. As people come on and see EUW.com promos, they check them out, read it, and have time to let it sink in before the actual show. Making both the promo itself more significant, and its subsequent impact on what happens in the show just as such. So making an effort to put promos on EUW.com instead of in the show, whether it be mid-week stuff or say the night prior to the show when some might normally be sent to you anyways. While you're still putting together the majority of the show, the promo could be submitted to EUW.com, already allowing people to indulge in that specific part and get more excited about the show.
It sounds like a Win-Win idea to me. And who knows, doing so might make it easier for you to get the show together, or even extend it should you prefer, on top of the promos that end up on EUW.com. We're not losing content, just spacing it out.
Overall though, I did like the show. Kudos! ;D

*snickers at Chris* you go either way huh? nm...
About the show... As I said last week, I read it at work, and it can take me 3-5 hours to get through. But that's not the fault of the writers, that is the fault of my job. LOL
I liked the shorter show this week, but I think I liked it shorter because it was coming after a REALLY pivotal previous show. 1. Xplode retired. 2. Jack is on break 3. New GM etc. The special edition had to be long to encompass all that. And I think that the special ones, the PPVs and such, probably will run long. But ... maybe... some of the weeklies could go a little shorter if it works that way.
We all write, so we all know how it is when the muse has got us going hot and heavy... it's hard to stop when the words and ideas are flying through your mind.

I want to take responsibility for the short main event I left the writing to the last minute and of course a bunch of non stop shit happened on Friday and Saturday that I had no access to a computer until later at night. Sorry Obi and Eddie.

Hmmm.....I definitely see where you are all coming from. Like Skye said, this show was kinda bound to be a tad short due to the impact of the Special Edition and Ludvak made a great point about making the promos more significant. In that aspect, I'm guilty as charged because I take way too much liberty when I'm writing promos. So I need to focus and narrow them more. I also don't want to make the shows too short because, as Hunter and Sabora testified, the past shows were big but entertaining.
Reading all of that again, I'll focus on making the show more to the point but still juicy enough to sink your teeth into.
As for EUW.com, I sort of devoted it to News Updates and occasional promos that didn't make the show but I'll definitely expand the horizons and intentionally add in some promos I leave out from the show. Especially the Initial Interviews thingy we've got going on. You guys can also post your promos there if you don't want them on the show. It's free for all.
