Besieged opens up with a package highlighting the past weeks leading up to the event. From the mysterious promos that have been seen, to the creation of many of the matches. Several clips are from just the past MNS, as it caused a majority of the matches to be created. Some computer themed clips are shown, as well as shots of EUW.com and the voting pages. Clips of past battles between Warrior and Meltdown, among other things, are also shown. The camera eventually zooms out to show a large fireworks display go off on the Besieged stage. The stage is also very Texas themed, due to Besieged coming to PPV from the Alamo Dome. The main part of the stage set is shaped like the Alamo, with the entrance curtain being near the doors and two large titantrons placed to each side of the top of the Alamo, and one above it. On the right hand side of the stage is some tumbleweeds, a large statue of a longhorn, as well as a branding iron and an electric cattle prod. To the left hand side of the stage, there isn’t such a variety of things, but one large thing stands out. The back end of a Cadillac placed as if it’s sticking out of the ground is set up on the stage, alluding to the famous Cadillac Ranch in Texas. The camera pans around the crowd, seeing some key signs such as “I voted for the Fire Extenguisher!”, “Champion or Commissioner?! You can’t be both!”, “Michael de’ Archangel: Pure Frightening and new Pure Champion!”, “Will Michael Jackson be here tonight?”, “Lincoln Daggerson: Pure Champion 4 Ever!”, and of course, the classic, always wonderful, large array of signs which read “Don’t Fire Hi Octane!”.
We cut backstrage where Lincoln Daggerson is shown walking down the hallways with the Pure title on his shoulder. Suddenly one of the doors he passes by opens and out comes Cole Evolver, these two men at first don’t notice each other. They suddenly stop and turn around.
Cole Evolver: Hey! Look who’s here, isn’t it our beloved champion Lincoln Daggerson.
Lincoln Daggerson: Cole! Long time no see huh? So you still scrubbing toilets in the ladies bathroom or did you get an upgrade?
Cole Evolver: You’ve always been quite the comedian, eh? Well guess what you better enjoy the last few minutes of alone time with that title cause after I’m voted in tonight, you’re finished. Like last year remember?
Lincoln Daggerson: Watch it, Buttercup.
Cole Evolver: Oh so you do remember!
Lincoln Daggerson: Yeah Cole I remember but guess what, this year Cobra Sambuka isn’t around to make sure you and the title are together. This year, if you get voted it’s just you and I. That’s of course IF you get voted.
Cole Evolver: Don’t get too comfortable there champ. I’m still standing you know and after tonight you’ll be the one out cold on the ground. That I guarantee.
Cole winked at Lincoln who merely scoffed at his arch enemy, both men then proceeded to walk away.
The camera cuts back to the arena as “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top hits the arena. A man in a solid black suit, new shoes, and dark sunglasses steps onto the ramp. He comes out glaring at the steel ramp, then looks up and it becomes obvious that this is Warrior. He looks out at the crowd a bit, various boos and cheers coming from all directions. Some people simply have always opposed Warrior, while others are simply happy to be at Besieged. Warrior looks around some more, then walks down to the ring. He arrives and slowly makes his way up the steps and goes in over the middle rope. Warrior finally raising the microphone in his right hand. He goes to speak, but lowers it, as the boos and cheers only increase. He waits a few moments, then finally raises the microphone and starts talking.
Warrior: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Besieged 2007!
The crowd turns into pure cheers, out of sheer excitement.
Warrior: It is now time for Besieged, the most interactive event of the year. Brought to you by EUW! Besieged is also sponsored by Red Bull!
Warrior: Now, I’m going to start the night with a bit of a surprise. I am going to announce the voting results for the Pure Title situation...right now! But first, let’s get the three men who you voted on out here!
JJ: Wow. I had no idea that this was going to happen so early ladies and gentlemen.
Larry: Yeah, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited!
The lights go out and a red glowing fog comes from the entrance way as "Slept So Long" by Korn begins to play. Two rows of three dark figures move out from the fog. Their faces are ashen white with archaic symbols on their faces. Match forward and stop before the ring. Their eyes start to slide into the back of their heads as they lift their hands to the sky. Once their hands are fully raised, a pyro goes off at the ramp entrance and The lights come back up in red as the guitars starts in the song.
Warrior: First, weighing in at 260 pounds...from Phoenix, Arizona...being accompanied to the ring by Saraphim...he is...Michael de’ Archangel!
Archangel comes walking out with Saraphim in tow. Michael walks to wards the ring slowly staring directly at the ring. He stops and Saraphim walks up and stands in front of him starring at the crowd. Michael turns her head slightly and she kisses him on the cheek. She moves out of his way and he slides slowly into the ring and stands in the center with a spotlight directly on him. Saraphim enters after him as they both move towards one of the corners.
As ‘Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)’ starts the arena goes black with only the flashing of cameras lighting the room. The guitar stops and when it re enters sparks come up from the stage engulfing it in white light. The Creep comes through the sparks in his wrestling attire.
Warrior: And introducing, from Manchester, England...weighing in at 215 pounds...ladies and gentlemen...The Creep!
He walks down the ramp barely noticing the fans and approaches the ring. He slides under the ropes and jumps up screaming at the air above him. The Creep retreats to the opposite corner of Michael de’ Archangel, choosing to keep his distance.
As the intimidating sounds of the guitar played by Guitarists Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates of A7X in the beggining of the song Unholy Confessions blare through the loud speakers surrounding the packed arena of screaming fans. Red lights flash everywhere as small pyro shoots out from the entrance ramp filling it with smoke.
Warrior: Now, from Boston, Massachusetts...weighing in at 194 pounds...he is Cole Evolver!
From the smoke comes Cole Evolver jumping around getting hyped up for the match, he walks down the cold hard steel ramp and slides into the ring hitting the black turnbuckles taunting the fans, finally he hops down and goes to one of the few open corners left.
Warrior: Now, before I announce the results. I would like to bring out one more person.
The lights immediately black out as the sudden chilling silence surrounds the atmosphere. Suddenly “Battery” by Metallica starts playing through the speakers, as the song’s soft and calm intro progresses the lights seems to be fading back. The music suddenly stops, a couple of seconds pass by before a huge and loud guitar riff blares through the speakers. The lights begin to blink uncontrollably as Lincoln Daggerson makes his way to the entrance stage wearing his entrance gear along with a black hoodie and the Pure Title on his right shoulder.
Warrior: Ladies and gentlemen...from an undisclosed location...weighing in at 255 pounds...he is the EUW Pure Champion...Lincoln Daggerson!
The volume of the music increases as Lincoln Daggerson makes his way down the ramp, ignoring both the cheers and boo’s from the fans. Once he makes it to the ring, he slides his title in first before taking off his hoodie and then entering the ring. Daggerson picks up his title and then raises it high above his head; he kisses it before handing it to the referee. Lincoln slowly makes his way to one of the corners, he sits down and waits for the match to begin as the lights return to normal and the music starts to decrease. Lincoln then takes a place in the only unoccupied corner.
With all four men on edge, Warrior wastes no time in continuing.
Warrior: Well here we are. The moment all four of you have been waiting for. May I have the envelope please.
Warrior moves to the ropes and receives an envelope from an EUW official. He moves back to the center of the ring, then proceeds to rip open the envelope and remove the paper inside. Warrior then begins to speak with a slightly shocked tone.
Warrior: And the man who is facing Lincoln Daggerson later tonight is...wow. Umm. Well it appears that after the close voting, we have................A THREE WAY TIE! I knew the voting would be close, but I had no idea how close. In light of the voting results, I’m going to make a decision right now. Lincoln Daggerson, you will still defend the title later tonight. And the three of you will still all have a match. So right now, we are going to have a Triple Threat match between Cole Evolver, Michael de’ Archangel, and The Creep! The man who gains a pinfall or submission in this no disqualifications and no count out match, will go on to face Lincoln Daggerson later tonight! The man who is not involved in the decision, not being pinned, not tapping out, and not gaining the pin or submission, will receive a Pure Title shot some time in the future! And, the man who taps out or is pinned...will get nothing! Lincoln Daggerson, you may exit the ring. I see we’ve already got an official out here, so ring the bell!
JJ: Oh my god! Well this match is now underway, and all of the competitors seem to be in utter shock.
Larry: Wait, the match is starting. Wait, it’s a triple threat. Wait...wait...wait...ahhhh! I’m so confused...
Warrior and Lincoln quickly exit the ring, as the three men left are all still standing with shocked looks on their faces. Cole Evolver finds himself the quick thinker, as he bolts towards Creep and catches him off guard with a leaping dropkick. Cole gets to his feet, but is quickly knocked to the ground when Michael hits a stiff big boot. Michael looks out to the crowd and raises his arms, standing alone as the other two men are down. Michael lowers his arms, but suddenly Creep rolls him up with a school boy for 1...but Michael powers out early. Creep rises to his feet, as well as Michael. The two get up simultaneously and face off for a moment. After a small delay, Cole Evolver suddenly sweeps The Creep. Creep tumbles backwards and to the ground, as Cole refocuses on Michael. Michael tries a fast clothesline, but Cole ducks. Cole then catches Michael with a quick German Suplex.
JJ: Great execution there by Cole Evolver.
Larry: This match is just chaos! I can’t even keep track of what’s going on.
Cole gets to his feet, as does Creep. The two stare for a split second, before Cole runs at Creep for a dropkick. Creep dodges out of the way, as Cole runs and ends up hitting the ropes. Cole drops to the ground, and spends a few seconds getting to his feet, with the help of the ropes. With Cole leaning against the ropes, Creep quickly capitalizes by clotheslining him to the outside of the ring. But Creep turns around to be met by a clothesline of Michael’s own delivering. Michael wastes little time in lifting Creep to his feet and going on the offensive. Michael holds Creep by the head, and delivers one straight punch. Creep staggers a bit, then Michael hits a quick t-bone suplex. Michael looks out at the crowd, lifts Creep up again, and hits a quick gutwrench suplex. Michael then covers Creep for 1...2...but Creep kicks out.
JJ: Some methodical moves there by Michael de’ Archangel.
Larry: But he couldn’t finish the match with it.
Michael moves away from Creep a bit, frustrated by only a 2 count on the previous fall. Michael then reaches out and wraps his hands around the throat of Creep. Michael continues to choke Creep into the mat. Creep flails and struggles, as the referee begins counting. 1...2...3...4...5! But the referee can’t disqualify Michael for the incident. He tries to push Michael off, because of which, Michael stands up and confronts the referee. Michael shoves the ref back, but the ref stands his ground and shoves right back, then pointing to the EUW logo on his shirt. Michael finally gives up with arguing with the referee, shoves him one last time, then looks again towards Creep. In all the commotion, Michael had not realized that Creep had already made it to his feet. Michael turns around to see Creep kick him in the gut and hit The Creeper out of nowhere. Creep rolls over Michael and hooks the leg for 1...2...but Cole is then seen leaping off the top rope as he crashes into Creep with an axe handle attack.
JJ: Creep had the match won there!
Larry: And Cole came out of nowhere!
Creep rolls over and slowly tries to get to his feet. While Creep is rising, Cole tries to hook the leg of Michael for a quick pin. He gets 1...2...but Creep stomps on Cole to break it up. Creep picks up Cole and hits a standing clothesline. Michael rolls near the ropes, about to try to use them to raise himself up. But before Michael can start to get up, Creep runs and dropkicks Michael to the outside. Michael hits the ground with a thud, just as Cole rises to his feet. Creep turns around, and now a standoff is set between Cole and Creep. They both move in cautiously, hesitant to lock up. Creep holds out one hand for a classic test of strength lock up. Cole hesitates, but eventually accepts the gesture. Then lock one hand, then the other two. Now the two begin to push with all their might. Cole begins to get a slight upper hand, but Creep uses one burst to push Cole back. Cole bends backwards, arching all the way down to where the top of his head is now resting on the mat, barely keeping him above the ground at all.
JJ: What a test of strength we have here!
Larry: And it looks like Creep’s got the upper hand here!
Cole then uses one last second burst of energy to push himself back up to a vertical base. Creep goes to push him back down, but Cole hits a quick knee to the gut. Creep bends over from the heavy blow, when Cole then tries to capitalize quickly. Cole takes the groggy Creep and lifts him up high for a sit-out powerbomb. In a flash, Creep crashes to the ground with a resounding thud. The sound ricochets throughout the arena, as Cole hooks the leg for the pin. The referee slides in, checks the shoulders, then counts 1...2...but Creep manages to get a shoulder up, almost purely out of instinct. Cole reluctantly moves away a bit, then lifts Creep to his feet. Cole locks Creep’s head in with his arm and crashes down with a stiff DDT. Cole goes for another pin, again obtaining only a count of two. Now very frustrated, Cole lifts Creep to his feet again. Cole goes to get himself into position for the Crimson Falls, but Creep hits a stiff punch to the gut and for the second time in the match, hits The Creeper seemingly from nowhere. Only this time it’s been executed on Cole Evolver. Creep reaches out and drapes an arm over Cole for 1...2...but Michael grabs Creep by the foot and pulls him out of the ring!
JJ: Where did The Creeper come from that time? He hits that move so quick!
Larry: But Michael broke up the pin. Ironic, considering Michael was covered earlier after that very same move, and Cole came in to break it up.
Michael now has Creep on the outside, as he hits a quick kick to the gut of Creep. Creep staggers a bit, then Michael uses something most everyone was unaware he even had. It then becomes apparent that in all the commotion between Creep and Cole, Michael got a hold of his walking cane. Michael swings the cane at the force of a professional baseball home-run hitter as it collides with the mid-section of Creep. Creep bends at the waist from the impact, as Michael then brings the partially cracked cane down onto Creep’s back, causing the cane to shatter into several pieces. Michael slides into the ring, and looks to the ground, expecting to see Cole still lying motionless. When he sees no such thing, he becomes confused, and turns around to find Cole. Michael turns to see Cole perched on the top turnbuckle. Cole leaps off for a crossbody attack, but Michael apparently makes the decision that this move won’t make impact. Showing his impressive strength, Michael de’ Archangel catches Cole in midair. Michael then holds Cole up for what seems like an eternity, then he flings Cole over his head with an amazing fallaway slam.
JJ: What a move by Michael de’ Archangel!
Larry: Yeah. Vampires are usually pretty damn strong. This proves it.
Michael de’ Archangel stands up and moves over to Cole, then going for the pin attempt. The referee slides in and begins to count for 1...2...but Cole somehow gets his shoulder up. Michael stands up, lifting Cole to his feet during the process. Michael looks out to the crowd, then grabs the groggy Cole and hits a t-bone suplex on him. Cole crashes to the ground, and Michael hooks the leg for 1...2...but Cole kicks out. Michael lifts Cole to his feet, kicks him in the gut, then nails a gutwrench suplex. Michael looks down at Cole, who seems entirely motionless, but rather than trying for the pin, he lifts the almost dead weight Cole Evolver to his feet. While all this is happening in the ring, both men end up oblivious to what Creep is doing on the outside. Creep has made it to his feet already, and has gotten a wooden table out from under the ring. While Cole and Michael fight, Creep has set up this table outside of the ring, not far from the side of the ring. Back in the ring, Michael de’ Archangel picks Cole up to his feet and locks him in for a stalling suplex. He walks around the ring a bit, but before hitting the move, Cole begins to struggle free. Being near the ropes, Michael begins to lose his grips and Cole lands back on his feet, but he is now standing on the ring apron. Cole then uses pure adrenaline to lift Michael over the rope and to the outside of the ring. Michael lands outside of the ring, crashing through the table and to the floor.
JJ: Oh my god! Michael de’ Archangel could be out of this match entirely!
Larry: What instinct there by Cole. Wait...nah, it’s just dumb luck.
Michael takes the blunt of the impact, but it is obvious that Cole took some damage from this move as well, as he ended up landing on the floor outside of the ring. Creep surveys the damage, then realizes Cole is about to get up. Creep stalks the downed Cole Evolver for a bit, waiting for him to rise. Cole finally gets up, but Creep decides to keep his distance for a moment. Instead, Creep then quickly scales the turnbuckle, as Cole slides into the ring, appearing entirely incoherent. Creep leaps off, possibly for a flying clothesline. Unfortunately for Creep though, Cole has scouted this whole situation. Cole suddenly swings a steel pipe he had kept fairly hidden in between his arms. The pipe clashes with Creep in mid air. Creep crumbles to the mat with a thud, as Cole holds the pipe in the air, receiving a mixed reaction from the crowd. Cole panders to the crowd a bit, showing off the pipe to each side of the arena. He eventually goes to show it to the final side, when he is caught off guard. Creep has regained himself by now, and suddenly grabs Cole and rolls him up. The referee slides in and counts the pin for 1...2...3!
John Walt: Here is your winner, and the man who will face Lincoln Daggerson for the Pure Title later tonight....The Creep! And due to not being involved in the decision, Michael de’ Archangel will receive a future Pure Championship match!
Creep has his hand raised by the referee, as Cole is still standing shocked by the whole situation. EMTs move out to the ring to assist Michael de’ Archangel, who is still not moving in the shards of the table he was driven through earlier in the match. Creep exits the ring, going to rest up for his match later, as Cole takes a while to even grasp what has just happened and then exits the ring.
JJ: "What a win for The Creep. Now he goes on to face Lincoln later tonight! "
Larry: "I’m not sure if I would have preferred to be Creep or Michael de’ Archangel. Michael gets to rest before his shot, but Creep’s only got a short amount of time between now as his match."
Just as Larry ends his sentence, the brightness of the arena dims to a pitch black. Soft movements are heard. Wind is heard blowing, leaves are heard scratching against hard sidewalks. The titantron cuts to the image of an unmarked tombstone and stays on it. The camera rests upon fresh dirt, the individual just being buried not too long ago. A clean, white-taped hand hangs out of the dirt eerily, not touched at all by the dirt surrounding it. This strange hand stays in its place, limp, barely touching the dirt. A voice interrupts the rustlings in the background. This deep, twisted voice recites lyrics.
"I love the Lord,
But sometimes it's like that I love me more.
I love the peace
And I love the war.
I love the seas
And I love the shore.
No love for no beach,
Baby, that's law.
But she doesn't see, therefore I spoil.
I trick, I fall,
Run up in raw.
I love her, with all my heart.
Every vein, every vessel,
Every bullet launched,
With every flower that I ever took apart,
She said- that she would give me greatness,
Status, placement above the others,
My face would grace covers
Of the magazines of the hustlers
Paper, the likes of which that I had never seen
Her eyes glow green with the logo of our dreams
The purpose of our scene
The obscene obsession for the bling
She would be my queen
I could be her king
Together, she would make me cool
And we would both rule, forever
And I would never feel pain
And never be without pleasure, ever, again
And if the rain stops
And everything's dry
She would cry
Just so I can drink the tears from her eyes
She'll teach me how to fly
Even cushion my fall
If my engines ever stall
And I plummet from the sky
But she will keep me high..."
The arena begins to brighten again as the video feed goes to static. As the backstage workers try to fix the sudden titantron image, JJ and Larry commence with the show.
Larry: "That was very, very strange. I wonder what's up with that..."
JJ: "I have no idea, but we have to continue on with the show!"
