Young Guns opens as the camera pans around the wild and ready to go crowd in the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The camera pans around seeing the various signs in the crowd as they show off their opinions. Among them are such jewels as “Chance is gonna eat you!”, “Don't
JJ: Well fans its time for our first match up, which will be a triple threat no disqualification match.
Larry: And with these three guys being a part of it, I am sure it’s going to be a hard fought contest.
As the arena is filled with the sound of "Spitfire" by The Prodigy, accompanied by a big pop from the fans, the big screen is lit up with images of Jack Bull. As the main baseline blasts in, the ramp is lit up by a single explosion of white pyros. From the back strides Jack Bull, looking confident, waving his arms to pump up the crowd and tagging the fans as he heads down to the ring.
John Walt: This match is scheduled for one fall and is a no disqualification triple threat match! Coming to the ring at this time, standing 6 feet and weighing 235 lbs. He is Jack Bull!
He hops onto the ring apron and climbs the nearest corner, raising his right arm to give the fans the “Horns of the Bull” symbol. After jumping down into the ring he visit’s each of the other corners in turn to give the fans the sign pumping up both them, and himself, for the match ahead.
All the lights go out, then Pain Redefined starts up. Diabolik steps out onto the ramp as the lights go red, and Urahara follows him. Together they walk slowly down the ramp, Urahara keeping a cautious eye on the crowd, as if he is trying to be ready for something to happen.
Walt: And his opponent, standing 6 feet 4 inches weighing in at 247 lbs. He is Diabolik!
Diabolik stares straight ahead at the ring as he walks, and when he reaches it, he rolls up onto the mat as Urahara jumps up onto the side of the ring and flips over the ropes. Diabolik throws his fist in the air and fireworks shoot out of the turnbuckles. The music stops and Diabolik sits down in the corner, waiting for his opponent to arrive. Urahara stands and continues to keep an eye on the crowd.
As the opening riffs play, the lights blinker a bright gold. When the first lyrics start sounding out, the camera cuts to the tron, where a swooping, panning shot of Las Vegas is seen, followed finally by a shot of the iconic "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. When the full music starts to play, Kid bursts out from behind the black curtain with great energy. He backflips for the crowd and lands on one knee. Monroe comes out behind him, slowly and clapping, getting the crowd behind Kid. Kid quickly jumps to both feet afterwards and pumps his arms wildly, twisting to face the tron before turning to the ramp. He runs to one side of the entrance ramp and jumps on a bunch of fans, who hug him and hi-5 him wildly. Monroe watches, unamused and continues to walk down the ramp as the crowd lift Kid above them and starts to carry him.
Walt: And the final competitor, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada he is Kid Luck!
Kid lays back, spreadeagled as he crowd surfs. Eventually, Monroe is left sitting on the ring steps as Kid is carried around the entire parameter. Kid eventually frontflips off the crowds hands at the corner, and lands at the foot of the ringsteps. Monroe stands up and salutes Kid, who gives a small salute back. He jogs up the steps and jumps over the ropes, running around the ring with his arms raised. He hops onto a turnbuckle and blows kisses to the fans, pumping his arms wildly as the crowd cheers. Eventually, Kid hops off the turnbuckle and waits for his opponent, using the ropes to stretch in preparation for the match.
The bell sounds as each competitor looks at each other, staring right into each others eyes. Diabolik makes the first move and charges at Kid Luck attempting a clothesline, Luck ducks and retaliates with a dropkick straight to Diabolik’s head. Diabolik falls down against the turnbuckles as Jack Bull walks over and starts to lay some heavy fists into his chest. The crowd counts along with the punches as the air is forced hard out of Diaboliks chest. Jack holds his fist high in the air going for one final punch, however Kid Luck hits a hard judo kick right to the chest of Bull sending him slumped against the ropes. Kid sees an opening here and signals for a big move to the crowd. He charges at Bull looking for a giant kick, however Jack ducks and sends Kid Luck over the top rope with a big back body drop causing him to splat on the pads at ringside.
JJ: Man that must have hurt, I’m sure I heard his shoulder pop.
Larry: Whatever dude, but it sounds like this crowd is filled with both Kid Luck and Jack Bull fans.
Kid Luck grabs at his back in pain as his manager Thaddeus Monroe comes to check on him. Diabolik sees that Jack is still looking at ringside and goes for a sneaky schoolboy 1..2.*kickout* Both men get up quickly and go for a collar and elbow tie up, Diabolik gets the early advantage with an arm lock but Jack starts to hit a few jabs to Diaboliks chest. Diabolik quickly lets go, the punches from before obviously causing a lot of pain to his ribs and chest area. Jack stays on the offensive and looks to finish the match early. He holds up his right arm and gives the horns of the bull signal, the crowd cheers as they know the Bull Charge is coming. Diabolik turns round to see Jack charge full speed at him, however Diabolik drops down and trips Jack into the ropes. Bull falls throat first into the second rope and lays there gasping for air. Diabolik gets up and looks around he sees that Jack is down and that Kid Luck is still on the outside. Without a moments thought Diabolik charges towards the ropes, using the fallen Jack Bull as a springboard Diabolik flips to the outside and lands directly on Kid Luck and Thaddeus Monroe.
JJ: My god! Did you see that?
Larry: Diabolik is really pulling the stops out tonight, using his opponent as a springboard to the outside.
All 3 men lie in a heap at ringside as the crowds chant loudly. Diabolik is the first man to get up and quickly takes advantage of the no disqualification rules by grabbing a chair from ringside and throwing it at Kid Luck. Diabolik celebrates as the crowd boos loudly, however out of nowhere Jack Bull grabs Diabolik and throws him over the guardrail and into the crowd. Jack climbs over the barricade himself and grabs Diabolik. Bull picks Diabolik up and slams him with a hard scoop slam onto the concrete, Diabolik screams out in pain as Jack signals for another attempt at the Bull Charge. Waiting until Diabolik gets up Jack then suddenly charges at his opponent however for the second time Diabolik sees him coming and dives out of the way leaving Bull to crash into the guardrail denting it in the process. The crowd goes wild.
JJ: Oh man! Jack Bull looks to be in bad shape now.
Larry: Bad shape?! The man just ran head first into a steel guardrail; I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in a coma after that.
Jack grabs his head in pain as Kid Luck climbs over the barricade with a steel chair in his hand. Kid goes crazy and slams the chair hard over the head of Diabolik causing a small cut to open on his forehead and blood to flow down his face. Kid grabs Diabolik by the head and drags him through the crowd, they eventually reach the merchandise section situated under a balcony. Luck throws Diabolik into the t-shirt table and starts to showboat to the crowd; the mixed reactions fill the arena. Kid goes to grab Diabolik but Jack Bull intercepts him with a stiff punch and throws him against the wall.
JJ: These 3 seem to be going all over the building.
Larry: Yeah and the crowd had better watch out here things could turn nasty.
Bull starts punching Kid Luck even more causing Luck to bruise badly and the crowd to cheer for every punch. Diabolik intervenes and grabs Jack throwing him into a railing near a set of steps. He pulls Jack up the stairs and towards the balcony above. Diabolik keeps punching Jack making sure he wont fight back. The two men reach the top of the balcony and look across the crowd. Diabolik grabs Bull by the head and sets him up in a powerbomb position. He looks down at the merchandise stands and Kid Luck, both of which are 15 feet below.
JJ: Oh dear god this looks bad!
Larry: They are 15 feet up there and Jack Bull looks to be going down the hard way.
Bull however pulls Diaboliks legs from underneath him and hits some mounted punches on him. The cut on Diaboliks head opens up more and the cut starts gushing with blood and stains Jacks wrestling attire. Diabolik wriggles out from underneath Jack and goes towards the edge of the balcony, getting to a vertical stance using the guardrail. Jack looks out to the crowd and waits for Diabolik to get up. Bull then starts to charge and eventually hits the BullCharge to Diabolik. The crowd goes almost silent as Diabolik and Jack Bull fly over the railing and crash through the merchandise table with a thud. Diabolik seems unconscious as Luck looks for an opening.
JJ: Jack Bull needs to capitalize quick.
Suddenly runs and hits the K.I.C.K. on Jack Bull from nowhere that sends him back into the wall behind the merchandise table. With Bull out, Luck grabs Diabolik and begins to drag him towards the ring. It seems to take forever for them to reach it, but they finally get there as Luck rolls Diabolik into the ring. Bull slides into the ring and lifts Diabolik to his feet, expecting a simple and elementary finish, when suddenly Diabolik elbows Luck in the side of the head. Luck staggers backwards as Diabolik rebounds off the ropes in a last burst of energy, putting aside his pain and trying the Springboard Stunner. Unfortunately, Luck has it scouted as he goes flying through the air and hits Diabolik mid-air with the K.I.C.K. that sends both men crashing to the mat. Luck reaches over and hooks the leg of Diabolik while Jack Bull is slowly pushing his way through the crowd right now. The referee begins to count as Bull looks on at 1...2...and finally 3!
John Walt: And here is your winner...Kid Luck!
JJ: What a match by these men, that was insane! I think they all deserve their props.
Larry: I kinda feel bad for Jack Bull though, he wasn't pinned and dealt what could have been the true deciding factor with that huge BullCharge on Diabolik.
Luck celebrates a bit in the ring before sliding out and going to the back. Bull follows suit, and eventually Diabolik recovers and goes to the back. With everyone finally to the back, the action takes no halts as the next match is ready to get underway.
"Use Somebody" begins to play and on the titantron, Jeremy's infamous J with a snake like S wrapped around the stem of the J is seen. After this fades, clips of Jeremy Sterling hitting several moves can be seen on a variety of opponents. Finally Sterling walks out from behind the curtains to a chorus of boos from the crowd, which has no effect on Jeremy whatsoever. Signs are flaunted in Sterling's face, however he walks past them, ignoring, almost as if he wasn't noticing them at all. Once reaching ringside, Jeremy pulls his body up onto the apron and gets into the ring. He begins to spin his wrists around to loosen them up, but immediately following this, he sits in the corner and waits for the match to begin.
Silence fills the arena as the all the lights dim out. A few faint whispers from the crowd are all that fill the void. Then a sickening and sadistic laughter begins to come across the PA system. The stage then lights up in a dark red color as the laughter continues. The voice then says quietly, "Quote The Sick 1.... Evermore." The crowd then knows who is coming out and the Titantron lights up with a black screen on it in sketchy red letters are "T S" Then "The Thing That Should Not Be" by Metallica starts and the arena begins to shake. A flurry of red and orange lights begin to swirl around the arena as the song begins to kick into full gear. Then Trent Sickness walks out from behind the curtain wearing his old school black cut-off jean shorts and black wife beater. His head is looking straight forward at the ring eyes locked onto the squared circle. The crowd cheers immensly as Trent begins to walk down the aisle. Trent stares straight forward at the ring ahead not even caring about the fans that cheer and reach out for him. He walks calmly over to the stairs and climbs them giving the crowd determined looks with each step. Trent climbs into the ring and walks to the center of the ring. His eyes lock onto the camera as he throws his arms out in a christ-like pose then bring them slowly in front of his chest making a X shape. Trent breaks the pose and begins his pre-match warm-ups.
Before the bell is able to ring, “Mescalero” by ZZ Top hits the arena as Warrior steps out onto the stage with a microphone in one hand. Under his other arm is a small black bag that seems to contain something, but it's not obvious just what could be in it.
Warrior: Hey Sterling and Trent. I'm sure you two are quite surprised to see me here. I've noticed something over the past weeks that gave me a bit of an idea. For weeks on end, as a matter of fact since Back 2 Roots or before, you two have been at each others throats. You've been itching to tear each other limb from limb, and itching to have all the possible tools imaginable to do that. I feel like it's time to give some contrast to EUW. On one end of the spectrum, we have the EUW Pure Championship. It's a title built on wrestling skill and in ring ability. For all the in-ring skill and ability you two have though, you seem more eager to knock each other senseless. And I feel there are likely more in EUW with that very desire. So I'm going to bring in a medium for this desire.
Warrior holds the bag out from under his arm, not yet pulling out the contents though.
Warrior: The first thing I'm doing is making this match no disqualifications. No count outs. And falls will count anywhere at all. If you two want to drag this fight into Detroit River or all the way to Lake St. Clair, by all means feel free to do so. Oh, and you might want to make sure to fight like this match is important.
Following this statement, Warrior lowered the microphone for a moment and reached into the black bag. From inside of it he pulled out an old looking wrestling championship that seemed in shambles and barely holding together.
Warrior: Because the winner of this match will be declared the new EUW Hardkore Champion!
In the ring, Sterling and Trent seem absolutely shocked. Warrior signals to the referee as the bell sounds. Trent is still processing the magnitude of the situation as he turns quick to face Sterling, but sees no one. Sterling has acted quickly, as he's already on the outside looking for weapons now. Sterling has wasted no time in getting the action going, as he pulls a steel trash can from under the ring and tosses it in. Out comes the metal lid and a stop sign which he slides into the ring as well. Finally he grabs a kendo stick and slides into the ring ready to go at it. In the ring though, Trent has gotten the lid of the trash can. Like two warriors ready to clash, Trent is holding the trash can lid as if a shield, ready to strike when his opponent gets near. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sterling is holding the kendo stick like deadly katana ready to break the guard.
JJ: What is this? A wrestling match or a gladiator battle?
Larry: I don't know, but it's definitely unique. Oh...and this is awesome!
Sterling moves in, trying to strike Sickness in the mid-section with the kendo stick. Each blow is blocked with the aid of the trash can lid. Sterling finally pulls back and throws all his weight into a strike. The combination of his momentum and Trent's shield causes the kendo stick to snap as Sterling is thrown off his center of balance. Trent drops the lid and grabs Sterling, quickly capitalizing with a belly to belly suplex sending Jeremy flying across the ring. The damage is visible as Sterling arches his back, but he does his best to snap back to his feet and stay on the offensive. Sterling runs as if going for a clothesline, before going low and landing a dropkick to the knee that sends Trent to the mat with a thud. With Trent down, Sterling runs to the ropes and rebounds off with a picture perfect lionsault. The move lands and Sterling hooks the leg for the early pinfall. The referee counts 1...2...but Trent kicks out of it.
JJ: If anything, we're getting a contrast in styles here.
Sterling got to his feet quick and slid out of the ring, going for more weapons. He pulled out another kendo stick, tossing it into the ring. In addition, a few steel chairs were slid into the ring, and even a table was pulled out, though not set up anywhere. He slid into the ring and looked over to Trent, who had picked up one of the steel chairs and has it at the ready. Sterling lifts picks up the stop sign pulled out earlier and suddenly throws it like a deadly discus. The sign rotates towards Trent, who dodges out of the way of it. Luckily for anyone in the crowd, the sign collides with the ring post stopping its momentum. But as Trent turns to get out of the way, Sterling suddenly grabs Trent from behind and lands a lungblower out of nowhere. He rolls Trent over and covers him for 1...2...but Trent kicks out yet again.
Larry: I don't know what was more insane. Trent kicking out from that move...or the flying stop sign. Wait...definitely the flying stop sign.
Sterling gets to his feet, looking for weapons once again as he grabs a trash can. Trent seems to shake off the lungblower from earlier amazingly quickly as he is to his feet and grabs a steel chair. Sterling gets near Trent and tries for a distraction maneuver. In a quick action, he tosses the trash can at Trent. Much to his surprise, Trent slams the steel chair into the bottom of the trash can causing it both to fold in on itself and fly back and knock Sterling backwards. With Sterling staggering, Trent runs towards him with the chair. Rather than going interesting with this, instead Trent goes for impact as he slams the chair full force into the head of Sterling. The damage knocks him to the mat with a thud as Trent begins to get methodical.
JJ: I kept seeing things I've never seen. Now I've seen a steel chair shot...but that one hurt as much if not more than any I've seen...
Trent grabs the steel chair and starts wailing on Sterling with shots one after the other. Finally he drops it and goes to lift Sterling to his feet. The damage from the chair has set in as Sterling is having difficulty getting up, but Trent doesn't give him much time to rest. Instead, Trent sends him across the ring with a big overhead belly to belly suplex. Happenstance causes Sterling to land on the trash can and crush it further as Trent goes after him again. Trent lifts him up, then positioning a chair perfectly beneath them. Trent signals to the crowd that it's time to end the match, as he lifts Sterling to his feet and picks him up. The crowd gets to their feet, as Sterling is in position to be hit with The End of It All, which would very well finish the contest. Trent lets out a yell, but Sterling begins struggling. Trent is thrown off balance and falls backwards onto the crushed trash can. Sterling rolls away and to the outside of the ring, hitting the ground with a thud as he tries to rest for a moment.
Larry: I find it hard to believe this hasn't ended yet, these two are tearing each other apart...and still going at it!
Sterling reaches under the ring slowly, still feeling the effects of the damage from earlier. The crowd is standing almost all around the arena, trying to see what he's going for. As he pulls it out, the roar spreads across the arena as the revelation hits that Sterling has pulled a ladder out from under the ring. Sterling gets to his feet, lifting the ladder up and looking into the ring seeing that there's no chance he's going to be able to fit it in well in there. Instead, he drops the ladder back down on the outside and goes into the ring after Trent for now. Trent is getting to his feet just as Sterling enters. Rather than grabbing a weapon, Sterling bolts towards Trent, bounding over obstacles on the way there. Reaching Trent, Sterling stops his momentum and brings himself around with a leg sweep that puts Trent to the mat, banging his head on broken shards of kendo stick.
JJ: There's barely any mat in the ring, it's all broken shards of weapons.
Sterling looks around, grabbing a less used steel chair as he turns and waits for Trent to rise. Just as Trent gets to his feet, Sterling tosses the chair, which Trent catches perfectly. Sterling quickly goes for a big dropkick intending to send the chair into Trent. Trent thinks fast though, as he pulls back and slams the chair into the feet of Sterling as he attempts the dropkick. Sterling hits the mat with a thud as he grabs his knees obviously in extreme pain. Trent looks around the ring, and starts pushing fragments of weapons and even unused weapons out of the ring and to the outside to clear some canvas. He then slides out, grabbing the ladder that Sterling had introduced and slides it into the ring. In the ring, Trent lifts Sterling to his feet, lifting him up onto his shoulders. The crowd gets to their feet, expecting The Plague as Trent is ready to finish things.
Larry: Oh my god! There'll be no coming back from this for Sterling!
Just as he flips Sterling over, somehow Jeremy moves his legs to get them positioned around Trent's neck as he counters by sending Trent into the ladder with a hurricanrana. Trent hits with a thud as Sterling tries to get to his feet, still feeling damage to his legs from earlier. Sterling fights it off though, as he sees his sadistic ending. With Trent still somewhat out of it, Sterling drags Trent and puts him sandwiched inbetween the ladder with his head facing the open end and Trent facing down to the ground. Sterling then reaches through the rungs of the ladder, pulling Trent's legs through and grabbing them for the Angelic Diablo which he suddenly has locked in. In this awkward position, the damage is multiplied on Trent. Reluctant to give in, Trent tries his hardest not to tap out. Suddenly, Sterling sits down all his weight on the ladder, also adding impact and damage to the mid-section and head of Trent. Frantically from the inside of the ladder, Trent begins slapping his hand against the mat in submission. The referee gets the two separated as he rings the bell.
John Walt: Here is your winner...and the NEW EUW Hardkore Champion...Jeremy Sterling!
Sterling receives the belt from a ringside official, celebrating in the ring and showing his appreciation for it. The crowd has a mixed reaction to it, but nonetheless shows their respect to the match these men put on. Sterling exits to the back, as officials come out and help Trent backstage and clear all the debris from the ring.
The camera feed cuts to the arena parking lot. Various cars are stationary, parked even, as they await their owners. The camera continues to pan to the right revealing a small crowd that has gathered. With various cheers and hollers, they stand watching as a motorcycle comes to a slow halt.
J.J: Is this who I think it is?
Larry: Oh no… I think…. Yes, it is!
Black boots are seen as one is lifted. The rider dismounts the bike. Clad in blue jeans, a black leather vest and black bandana.. Oblivion removes his gloves and heads towards the arena. The crowd moves out of his way as he heads through the parking lot doorway. The crowd begins to go completely nuts!
J.J: This is not the Oblivion we have seen, Larry. He seems…. I don’t know.. Back?
Larry: Oblivion, a former EUW Champion, is one of the baddest dudes in the EUW. If he has gone back to his old ways than everyone is in trouble.
J.J: What is he doing here though? He doesn’t have a match?
The camera now shows the backstage hallway as Oblivion makes his way through. A few superstars peek their heads out of a nearby locker room, smiling and cheering him on. The crowd is still at a fever pitch! “Inside the Fire” by Disturbed begins to play. The crowd eats it up!
J.J: Oblivion has always been a man of the people in his career. Listen to them cheer for him.
Still not stopping, Oblivion walks down the ramp way and up the metal steps leading into the ring. Stopping at the top, he turns to stare at the entrance way. A LOUD bolt of lightning hit’s the stage area as he does so. Easily lifting his leg over the top rope, Oblivion enters the ring and walks around a bit, letting the fans cheer him on. He then stops and holds his hand out as a microphone is placed in it. With his dark shades still on and hair pulled back into a ponytail, he begins to speak…
Oblivion: I told you… I would be here.
The crowd screams!! They absolutely love it!
Oblivion: It seems that I had no match tonight. So I figured… I would visit anyway. The last few weeks, I have been a little off my game. No longer will I have that problem. Because you see… the light of the day eventually gives way to the darkness of the night. It is now…. Nighttime.
Oblivion casually tilts his head as the fans cheer him on.
Oblivion: I have been sitting around, watching these guys fight over a certain title belt. It is sort of funny to be honest. I mean, we got my brother… the current champion. He parades around with that belt like he created the damn thing. Then you have Lincoln Daggerson… resorting to enlisting the help of an old man to get the job done. IS THAT WHAT THE EUW HAS COME TO?
Well… no more. You see, the Big Dog is back. It’s time I put these puppies back in their place. They say you haven’t truly seen pain until you watched your life go by without you. I have been there. Now… it’s time I get back in the game again. IT’S TIME FOR ONE LAST RIDE!
The camera pans around the arena as the crowd eats it up. They cheer and scream wildly.
J.J: Wow… Oblivion is back and in business. THIS is what we have been waiting for.
Oblivion: That brings me to my first order of business. The EUW Championship belt. You see, I may be the only man in this damn company who can admit… I was beaten for it. I could go on and tell you all that it took four other men at the same time to do it. You all already knew this though. No, what we will talk about is that I am serving notice to whoever is making those matches back stage. I WILL get my damn respect once again. I will also get my title back. Enough playing around. These people her demand it. Hell.. I DEMAND IT! And we all know.. There is no point in trying to fight that. One way or the other… I will get my damn way.
The crowd cheers as Oblivion begins to walk out of the arena. Stopping at the ropes, he turns at speaks one last line.
Oblivion: This countdown… is forever!
And with that, he exit’s the arena and heads out to the cheers of the fans.
J.J: Well, if Oblivion is throwing his hat in the ring, you can bet things will get interesting. You know what you get when you bet on Obi. He is the resident badass of the EUW.
Larry: Yeah.. I am speechless. I know I can speak for the fans when I say, “Oblivion… welcome home“.
The camera cuts back to the arena as the opening beats of “Jizzlobber” by Faith No More hits the arena as black lights and dark red lights flicker through the arena. The first riffs of the song hit as Chance ominously steps out onto the stage, ignoring the crowd entirely. Amy follows close behind, smirking at the audience at the mere presence of her husband. Chance makes his way down the ramp, finally reaching the ring and leaping straight to the apron from the floor. Chance steps through the ropes before glancing out at the crowd for a moment. He quickly puts his focus back on the match at hand though, readying himself for his opponent and waiting for the match to begin.
“Learn the Hard Way” by Nickelback blares throughout the arena as flames erupt from the stage. Princess Firepower comes out, wearing a "Don't Fire Hi Octane" T-shirt, and holds up her arms. Hi Octane walks out wearing a black suit and sun glasses. He rolls his neck and adjusts his suit before grabbing Princess Firepower's hand and walking down to the ring, pulling her behind him. Hi Octane walks up the steps and enters the rings, holding the ropes open for Firepower. Once she's in the ring, Octane removes his suit coat and shirt, and Princess Firepower grabs the sides of his pants and rips them off revealing Octane's Wrestling tights. Firepower climbs out of the ring where she cheers Octane on.
The cage slowly lower around the ring as the ref stands between the competitors. Once the cage is in place the ref explains to both men that the match will only end when one of the men climbs over the cage and both feet touch the floor. The ref calls for the bell and Hi Octane immediately turns his back on Chance Fusion and starts to climb the cage. Fusion is hot on his heels and catches Octane as he is standing on the top rope. Fusion tries to pull Octane down, but Octane kicks his leg back, catching Fusion in the jaw. Fusion staggers backwards. Octane looks from the top of the cage to Fusion then leaps off with a crossbody. Fusion is caught by the crossbody and taken to the ground, but rolls through and manages to get back to his feet while holding Hi Octane to his chest. Fusion turns slowly before throwing Octane across the ring with a fall away slam.
JJ: It looks like they are wasting no time in this match.
Fusion looks at Octane, but turns his back and starts to climb the cage. Octane rolls to his feet and starts to climb up after him. Both men end up on the top rope, trying to push the other off. Octane suddenly leaps and dropkicks Fusion off the ropes. Both men go crashing to the mat. The ref checks on both men, but they are already climbing to their feet. They begin to circle each other before finally tying up. Fusion tries to get the advantage but Octane whips him into the corner. Octane charges at the corner. Fusion is ready for him and lifts Octane over his and attempts to drop him on the turnbuckle. Octane manages to grab onto the cage and starts to pull himself up. Fusion climbs up the turnbuckle after him. Octane manages to pull himself to the top of the corner with his legs hanging down. Fusion stands on the top rope and grabs Octane by the waist. Octane falls down to the top rope and Fusion locks in a rear waist lock.
Larry: Is Fusion trying to German suplex Hi Octane off the top rope?
JJ: He's insane, they'll both be injured.
Larry: I don't think Fusion care, he'll do anything to win this match.
Fusion leans far back, attempting to suplex Octane. Octane locks his fingers in the steel fencing of the cage, holding on for dear life. Fusion releases one arm and strikes the back of Octane. Octane fights back, throwing elbow to the head of Fusion. Fusion gets a lucky strike and stuns Octane. He grabs the back of Octane's head and slams it into the cage, bloodying his forehead. Octane reels and Fusion steps to the side, letting him fall backwards to the mat. Fusion looks at Octane and then looks to the top of the cage. Amy Jackson starts screaming on the outside, waving for Chance to climb out. Princess Firepower starts to bang on the cage, trying to rouse Octane. Fusion finally makes a decision to escape and starts to climb. Octane starts to rise, but Fusion has already started to pull himself up to the top of the cage. He quickly scrambles up after him managing to grab ahold of Fusion's legs before he could pull himself over.
JJ: This match looked to be over, but with a sudden burst of speed from Octane it still looks like it could go wither way.
Octane yanks down on Fusion's legs but Fusion seem to have a good grip on the top of the cage. Amy Jackson screams in frustration and starts to climb the outside of the cage. She gets to the top and grabs onto Fusion's hands and tries to pull him over the edge. Octane and Amy struggle back and forth with Fusion being pulled in two directions. Princess Firepower decided to into the action and grabs the time keeper's chair. She swings at Amy Jackson, but Amy's too high up for Firepower to reach. Firepower stands back and throws the chair as hard as she can, hitting Amy Jackson in the side. Amy loses her grip on Fusion and drops to the ground, where she hits hard. The outside referee pushes Firepower back, separating the two managers. Octane pulls Fusion back down to the top rope. Octane locks in a full-nelson and jumps off the top rope and drives Fusion into the mat with a face-buster.
Larry: Sweet Fancy Moses! Fusion is lucky if he's still alive and Octane's lucky if he didn't just break his tailbone.
Octane rolls around in pain as Fusion lies still. Octane finally gets to his feet and drags Chance Fusion to his feet. Fusion seems dazed as Octane moves him over to the ropes. Octane picks Fusion up for a atomic drop and plants him split legged on the top rope. Octane throws a swift punch to the stomach causing Fusion to fall forward. Octane runs toward the opposite rope, bounces off and comes back hard with a Hi Impact Mark II, sandwiching Fusion's head between his knee and the cage. Fusion falls into the ring and hold his head. Octane starts to climb the cage. Fusion pulls his hands back and sees that he's been busted open. He looks at the blood on his hands before letting out an animalistic roar and charging at Hi Octane. Fusion climbs up behind Octane and grabs him around the waist. Fusion pushes off the cage and takes Octane with him in a belly to belly suplex. They both hit the mat hard as Fusion plant Octane.
JJ: Chance Fusion out of no where!
Larry: All he has to do is climb out and it's over.
Fusion stalks around Octane and drags him to his feet. Fusion grabs Octane by the wrist and whips him hard into the cage. Octane flies over the ropes and slams into the unforgiving steel. He falls down between the ropes and the cage. Fusion runs hits a low dropkick on Octane, forcing him back into the cage. Fusion continues to stomp on Octane. Fusion finally pulls Octane to him feet and suplexes him back into the ring. Fusion gets down on all fours and crawls around Octane. Octane starts to rise, but is still unable to get up. Amy Jackson begins yelling on the outside, telling Chance to climb out and win the match. Fusion turns his attention to Amy for just a moment, but it's enough for Hi Octane. Octane crawls up to Fusion and hits a low blow. Octane gets to his feet and hits a superkick out of nowhere.
JJ: What a come back from Hi Octane?
Larry: But will he make the same mistake and fail to capitalize?
Octane starts to climb the cage in one of the corners. As he stands on the top turnbuckle he looks back at Chance Fusion. Octane walks out on the rope, holding onto the cage for balance. Once he reaches the middle of the rope, he turns to face Fusion. Octane leaps for the Hi Dive. Octane connects with the frog splash and bounces off Fusion. Octane rolls around the ring, holding his mid-section. Octane crawls over to the cage and starts to climb. Suddenly Amy Jackson swings a steel chair at the cage, smashing Octane's fingers. Princess Firepower runs at Amy Jackson and goes for a superkick of her own. Amy Jackson ducks underneath and traps Firepower's leg to her chest. Jackson picks up Firepower and throws her at the cage. Firepower hits the steel and collapses to the ground. Inside the cage, both Octane and Fusion are on their feet and start to climb the cage side by side.
Larry: It's neck and neck.
JJ: Anyone can win!
Octane and Fusion both get to the top rope at the same time. Fusion throws a hard right hand at Octane and connects. Octane reels and throws a kick back at Fusion, connecting with his knee. Fusion suddenly jumps at Octane and grabs his head. Fusion hits the Scavenger off the top rope. Octane hits the mat and stops moving, while Fusion is already starting to rise. Fusion drags Octane to the center of the ring. Fusion wastes no time in locking the Predator. Fusion wrenches Octane's ankle, as Octane screams in pain. Fusion stands up and increases the pressure. Octane has no choice and taps out, but the ref can't call for the bell. The ref yells for Fusion to break the hold and climb the cage but Fusion ignores him. Fusion lets out a primal scream and grapevine Octane's leg, increasing the pressure even more.
JJ: Fusion is completely lost in the fight, he can't win that way, but he doesn't care.
Fusion twist Octane's ankle more. Octane yells and taps out again, but Fusion shows not sign of letting go. Princess Firepower screams on the outside for Chance to let him go. Finally she's had enough and starts to climb the cage. Amy Jackson tries to pull her down, but Firepower pushes her away. Firepower gets a little higher on the cage when Amy grabs her again. Amy has a grip on Firepower's legs, facing away from the cage. She pulls and Firepower's grip on the cage gives out. Amy Jackson powerbombs Princess Firepower onto the announcer's table. The table remains standing, but Firepower's body violently bounce off the table with a sickening sound of flesh on wood. Inside the ring, Chance Fusion looks up at the noise coming from outside the cage. Amy signals for Chance to climb out of the cage. Fusion breaks the hold on Octane.
Larry: Fusion finally snaps out of it, now is his chance!
Fusion starts to climb the cage as one referee checks on Octane and the other checks on Firepower. Fusion makes it to the top of the cage and pulls himself up. Octane shoves the referee off and gets to his feet, barely able to put his weight on one leg. Fusion slides over the top and hangs. Octane climbs the turnbuckle and jumps up to the corner. Fusion drops to the floor and the ref calls for the bell. The ref briefly raises Fusion hand, but quickly returns to Firepower. Amy Jackson goes up to Fusion and raises his hand in victory. Octane makes it over the top and drops to the floor. He ignores Fusion and goes to check on Firepower. The refs call for a stretcher.
John Walt: And your winner, by escaping the cage, “The Lion,” Chance Fusion!
Fusion and Amy make their way up the ramp. They stand together on the stage in victory. The paramedics come down with a stretcher and load Firepower onto it. As Fusion and Amy leave, Firepower is wheeled out and the refs help Octane to the back.
JJ: What a match by these two men. It really showed each man give it his all.
Larry: That's for sure. While Chance was the final victor, this was far from a quick match. Hi Octane certainly put up a fight.
JJ: And in this fight, they both proved themselves.
Larry: Well, regardless of that match, it's time to move to a very different altercation.
JJ: That's right Larry, it's Pure Title time!
"Given Up" starts playing as several fireballs start firing out of the stage. A ring of fire starts in the middle of the stage as Joe Dark rise through the flames. The walk out as the fire dies down and they walk to the ring. Joe slides in and waits in the ring for the match to start.
As the march of Hermod's Ride to Hel commences, the crowd cheers in anticipation. For the entirety of the intro to the song, the crowd stomps their feet in tune with the drums. Then when the two guitars begin to play together Brett Cross makes his way through the curtain, his head held high and the EUW Pure Title strapped around his waist. His right hand grips the hammer pendant over his heart tightly as he makes his way to the ring.
The beast of a man turns when he gets to ringside, and uses the steps to enter on to the apron. Then, entering over the top rope, he turns and removes his necklace. Grabbing the hammer at the handle, he kisses the top of it and then dangles the ornament over the turnbuckle before turning to his opponent.
The bell sounds and Joe Dark starts the match off trying to show off his speed compared to Brett Cross and sprints towards Brett and pummels into him hitting him with a spear and drives him into the turnbuckle. Cross is stunned by the sheer shock that Dark would start off with a high impact move, especially against him, but after Dark goes to a mid-section kick, Cross catches his foot and lifts Dark up with one arm, trapping his leg with one arm. Cross walks back towards the centre of the ring and choke slams him back first into the mat and covers him, 1...2...Joe gets his shoulder up before a three count can be made.
JJ: There's the quick cover, but more damage needs to be done before this can be ended.
Cross appears mildly surprised at Joe being able to get off of the mat after such a vicious move, however he doesn’t allow it to phase him as he begins to pummel into Joe with harsh forearms to Joe’s jaw and neck. After several of these forearms, Cross holds his forearm across Joe’s neck and gets a referee’s five count for doing so. At a count of four, Cross releases the choke and receives a reprimand from the ref, however he shoves the ref back in response, showing that he doesn’t care about the rules.
Larry: Brett Cross not very happy with that referee...
After this incident with the ref, Cross turns his attention back to Joe and begins to lift him up, however Joe shoots up and lands a big uppercut on Cross, backing Cross up a few feet from him. Joe now fires himself up and leaps to his feet and runs at Brett and attempts to hit a short arm lariat, but Cross ducks it. Joe Dark counters this by putting on the breaks and turning his body fully around and slams the back of Cross’s head with a huge northern lariat, knocking Cross to the mat face first.
JJ: What a blow! Go Joe Dark!
Joe doesn’t let up after getting this because as Cross begins to get to his knees to get back up to a standing position. Joe runs to the ropes and while Cross still remains on his knees, Joe dropkicks the right side of Cross’s face knocking him immediately back down to the ground, dazed by taking such an impact to his head. With the Viking on his back, Joe Dark goes for a cover, but at two Cross kicks out, much to Joe’s dismay.
Larry: That's why this man is Pure Champ.
Joe gets back up to his feet and pulls Cross along with him, however this time Cross is able to take advantage by whipping Joe Dark to the ropes and when Joe bounces back off of the ropes, Cross whips him around with a thunderous power slam, slamming Joe hard into the mat. Cross doesn’t bother to cover Joe yet though, as he lifts Joe right back up and scoops him up, but instead of slamming him into the mat, Cross slams Joe’s back into his knee, which causes Joe Dark to let out a yelp in pain.
JJ: And that's why this man is the greatest EUW superstar never to win a championship...
Cross grins at this yelp, as he believes this could be a turning point for him and allow him to win the match, however as he begins to think this, Joe shows a sign of life by falling to his back and swiftly kicking up with his leg and having his foot connect with the back of Cross’s head. Cross seems almost dazed by this kick as Joe fires back up and connects with a big forearm to Cross’s face. Joe begins to get back up to his feet, but before doing so he runs to the ropes and once he reaches Cross again he goes for a cross body, but Cross turns this around as he catches Joe, but doesn’t fall and instead throws Joe up on top of his shoulders and quickly dropping Joe down head first in front of him and covering him with a cradle shock. 1...2...Joe just kicks out of this pin.
Larry: That was close there, Joe needs to be increasingly more careful.
Cross seems to become increasingly frustrated that he can’t just put Joe away, but Joe seems to be fading quickly. Cross pulls Joe back up to his feet once again, but this time he doesn’t allow Joe to have any time to counter into anything as he takes him and tosses him into the corner and begins to pummel him with a fury of kicks and forearms before hitting him with a stiff kick and putting his head in between his legs and lifting him up onto his shoulders and power bombing him into the turnbuckle, making the turnbuckle nearly buckle under the impact and weight of the move.
JJ: They're going to break the ring trying to tear into each other!
Dark collapses in the corner after taking this move, but Cross doesn’t seem to be done with him yet though, as he drags him back to the center of the ring and lifts his legs up, but when he does this Joe snaps back to life and pulls Brett’s arm through and locks in a triangle choke hold trying to force Brett Cross to tap out. Cross fades fast as he is locked in this move, but he refuses to tap out and after being stuck in this draining move for almost thirty seconds, Brett Cross shows off his persistence by lifting Joe up off of the mat and walking him to the corner where he powerbombs Joe’s back into it once again, but he refuses to drop Joe after just a single powerbomb, and decides he will punish Joe’s actions by hitting a release powerbomb to the turnbuckle on Joe, forcing Joe’s back to hit the turnbuckle with such ferocity that Joe winds up laying flat on his chest in the ring.
Larry: What impact! It's all over for Joe Dark!
Brett grabs Joe by the legs and drags him nearer the center of the ring. He looks to finish things off as he grabs Joe's legs to get ready for the Chariot. Suddenly, Joe rolls himself under and pulls Cross to the mat with a modified victory roll pinfall. Caught off guard, Cross is stuck to the mat for 1...2...but he manages to push out of it in time. Trying to stay on top of him, Joe gets to his feet just as Cross does and goes after him. Joe dives under Cross, sliding through and getting to his feet in moments. In the short time it takes Cross to turn around, Joe has already scaled the turnbuckle and is coming off of it with the Final Note. The instinct of a champion kicks in though as Cross dodges the move, causing Joe to hit the ground with a thud and roll to his stomach. Cross suddenly grabs Joe's legs and brings him into the air and suddenly crashing down with The Chariot. He covers Dark as the referee slides in and counts 1...2...and 3!
John Walt: Here is your winner...and STILL the EUW Pure Champion...Brett Cross!
Cross receives his title from ringside and begins to celebrate a bit within the ring. Meanwhile, Dark has slowly begun to get to his feet. Cross dismounts one of the turnbuckles, turning and seeing a disappointed Dark sitting up on the mat. Cross gives an approving nod to Joe, and holds his hand out, helping Joe to his feet. With a final approving nod, Cross exits the ring and goes to the back. Joe spends a moment to soak in the crowd reaction and appreciation for the caliber of the match, before going backstage.
