Pain in Vain opens to show a packed arena in Portland, Oregon. The camera pans around the crowd showing an array of interesting signs from “Don’t Fire Hi Octane” to “Black Pure Title Reign” to “ ‘Captain Whiteboy’ Chance Fusion” to even “Sterling gets his shot! It’s about time!”. The following video package then shows.
The feed then cuts to Warrior who is just walking into his office. He opens the door and is stunned by what he sees. His office has been entirely trashed. And there are several pins and flyers around the room that say “ ‘We Believe’ He’s our future - Board of Directors ”. Warrior looks infuriated as he enters the office, and Hi Octane appears to be cowering behind him.
JJ: Well I’m not even sure what to think about that. But it’s time for our opening contest.
Three fireworks explode with Flobots playing over the speakers. Dante comes walking out in his black and blue shorts. Pissed off like always having to wrestle with this embarrassing set of moves he wasn't used too. Jumping over the turnbuckle, he gives a pose but wasn't really liking the entrance. He continues to do so until the bell rings.
The lights dim down very low and Kain Made Me Do It starts up. As soon as the song picks up and the scream is heard strobe lights hit the stage and Tyson Kain comes out with his cousin Leroy. Tyson stands at the entrance with his arms raised for a few seconds before walking down the ramp with a vicious stride. The strobe lights stop and the normal kick back on as Kain steps into the ring. Kain jumps on to one of the turnbuckles and poses with his arms for a few seconds, he then lowers his arms and takes off the beanie and wife beater and throws them to Leroy.
The opening of "Welcome Home" by Coheed and Cambria rings through the arena as green and blue lights begin to flicker. Just as it picks up, Chance runs out onto the stage, jumping around and screaming with energy and intensity. Chance makes sure to get the crowd loud and excited quick, before slowing down a bit and making his way down the ramp, slapping the hands of fans all the way down. Once to the ring, Chance goes up the rings steps and steps into the ring. Once in he makes a final taunt towards the crowd to receive a loud reaction before preparing himself for the match.
“The Hoard” by As Cities Burn slams over the PA system as the stage lights go down. Timothy walks out from behind the stage curtain and examines the arena. He walks down the ramp as the stage lights then begin to illuminate once again. Sullivan walks up the ring steps and climbs into the ring awaiting his opponent.
"Put your hands where my eyes can see" by Busta Rhymes blasts through the audio. Banner walks through the entrance and begins laughing and holding chin while looking around the crowd. While walking towards the ring, Banner smirks at nearby fans as they attempt to touch him. Climbing up the metal steps, Mike Banner steps through the ropes and removes his fur coat exposing his many tattoos.
The lights throughout the arena come to a calm darkness.. Everyone is nervous and you can almost feel the sweat build within your hands and bead upon your forehead as you wait for something... anything to happen. Suddenly, out of nowhere there is a big explosion at the top of the entrance stage that could've easily blown your ear drums out if you were just a little bit closer to it. The explosion is followed by "Scream by Avenged Sevenfold" and then a slow fade in of two blood red strobe lights fall upon the entrance stage as the music continues on through the PA just as strong as when it started.. Suddenly, there is a form of someone on the entrance stage that came from behind the entrance curtain.. They stand there for a moment and then they move under the blood red strobe lighting and it's none other than the sadistic man himself, Ronnie Syx.. He begins to make his way through the darkness down the ramp and towards the ring. He soon makes it to the foot of the ramp and then he slides into he ring.. The lights come back to a normal setting and the music slowly fades out as Ronnie gets to his feet in the ring.. He then signals to the referee that he is indeed ready for the match at hand.
"Gasoline - Seether" hits the pa system as Antonio Carter makes his way on the entrance stage and down the entrance ramp. With black shades covering his eyes, he gives a cocky smirk to the crowd. With a chorus of boo's from the crowd, he continues to smile in a cocky way and walk down the entrance ramp. He comes ringside pulling himself up using the top rope. Going through the middle rope and walking to the corner of the turnbuckle and begins to taunt to the fans. Jumping off and looking towards his opponent.
The seven men stare at each other around the ring, waiting for the bell. Brax Wayward comes flying down the entrance ramp, and slides into the ring. The bell rings and Wayward rushes at Chance Fusion. Fusion ducks the clothesline from Wayward. Wayward goes to bounce of the ropes, but Sullivan pulls the rope down, causing Wayward to go flying over.
John Walt: Brax Wayward has been eliminated.
The remaining men rush at one another. Ronnie Syx and Dante Mizery are going at it in the corner. Mizery gets the upper hand and slams Syx shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Mizery goes to throw Syx over the top rope, but Syx holds on, fighting to stay in the ring.
JJ: Ronnie almost eliminated there.
Mike Banner and Timothy Sullivan are fighting against the rope. Sullivan throws a hard right hand at Banner. Banner blocks and hits Sullivan with a right hand of his own. Banner goes for another right hand, but this time Sullivan block. Sullivan whips Mike Banner across the ring. Banner bounces off the ropes and is hit with a crossbody from Sullivan.
Larry: What a cross body there, catching some definite air.
Tyson Kain and Antonio Carter have teamed up against Chance Fusion, trying to eliminate the rookie superstar. Kain locks up with Fusion. Fusion powers Kain into a headlock, but is immediately caught with a kick to the stomach. Carter tries to throw Fusion over the top, but Chance counters with an Irish whip to the corner. Fusion follows up with a clothesline, but he is caught behind by an elbow to the back of the head by Tyson Kain.
Ronnie Syx has worked his way back into the ring. Syx and Mizery are now locked up. Syx twists Mizery into a hammerlock. Wrenching it in Syx causes Mizery to cry out in pain. Mizery throws a couple of elbows, forcing Syx to release the hold. Syx goes for a clothesline, but Dante blocks it and hits the Put You on Game. Mizery picks up Syx and tosses him over the rope.
John Walt: Ronnie Syx has been eliminated.
Dante Mizery is standing at the rope yelling at Syx. Mike Banner comes out of no where and tosses Dante Mizery over the rope. Mizery lands on the outside.
John Walt: Mizery has been eliminated.
Mizery argues with the referee and tries to get back into the ring. The ref forces him to the back. Mizery is approached by several police officers as he goes up the ramp. The escort him behind the curtain. Mike Banner turns back to Timothy Sullivan and stomps on the downed man. Mike Banner goes to pick up Sullivan, but is hit from behind by Antonio Carter. Carter grabs the stunned Banner and hits snap suplex on him. Carter grabs the slowly rising Sullivan and is caught with a DDT from Sullivan.
JJ: And there’s a hell of a ddt. Something like that might be what it takes to get one of these guys out of the match.
Tyson Kain has Chance Fusion back up in the turnbuckle. Kain kicks Fusion in the stomach, causing Fusion to fall to a sitting position. Kain starts stomping a mud hole of Fusion. Kain finishes with a big stomp to Fusion’s chest and raises his hands to the cheers of the crowd. Kain turns around to face the downed men in the center of the ring. Kain grabs the closest man to him, Timothy Sullivan. Kain grabs Sullivan and picks him up for the N-Bomb. Sullivan fights his way out of it and grabs Kain in a side headlock. Sullivan starts to run for a bulldog, but Kain picks him up and tosses him over the top rope.
John Walt: Timothy Sullivan has been eliminated.
Tyson Kain climbs the turnbuckle and panders to the crowd. Mike Banner rises from the mat. Kain jumps down and squares off against Banner. The two men circle the ring, before rushing at each other. Kain hits a right hand; Banner hits a right hand. The two men trade blows, before Banner starts to get the upper hand. Banner drives Kain back against the ropes. Mike Banner takes a step back, getting ready for a clothesline. Banner turns around just in time to duck a Carter Experience from Antonio Carter. Carter follows through with the kick, connecting with Tyson Kain, knocking him from the ring.
John Walt: Tyson Kain has been eliminated.
Mike Banner squares off with Antonio Carter. The two men stare one another down. They start trash talking one another and step up until they are nose to nose. Out of no where Chance Fusion hits Carter with a protoplex, driving him into the mat. Fusion picks up Antonio Carter and throws him over the top rope.
John Walt: Antonio Carter is eliminated.
Chance Fusion yells at Antonio Carter and gets the crowd riled up. Fusion turns around and walks right into a spine buster from Mike Banner. Banner walks around Fusion stomping on every possible body part. Banner picks up Fusion and whips him into the ropes. Fusion bounces of and come at Banner. The two men collide, clotheslining each other both men are down.
JJ: What a collission there, both men are completely out.
The fans are chanting for Chance Fusion. Fusion slowly gets to his feet, but it looks like Banner will beat him to his feet. Banner rushes at Fusion and whips him into the corner. Banner hits a clothesline on Fusion in the corner and follows that up with a series of European uppercuts. Banner pulls Fusion out of the corner and locks in a bear hug.
Larry: What strength there by Mike Banner.
Chance Fusion tries to fights out of the bear hug, but Mike Banner just wrenched it in. Fusion starts to fade and the ref comes to check on him, Fusion’s arm falls once… twice… And he gets it up before it falls a third time. Fusion starts to fight back, the roar of the crowd behind him Fusion hits Banner with several hard forearm shots to the head and Banner releases him.
JJ: You can hear the impact of those forearm shots.
Fusion switches around Banner and goes for the Jigsaw, but Banner twists out of the way. Banner hits Fusion with a hard backhand slap. Banner race towards the ropes. And comes at Fusion with the Welcome to Oakland. Fusion ducks underneath the clothesline, and brings Banner down with a double leg takedown. Fusion picks up Banner for the Fusion Bomb and hits it. The ref slides in and counts one… two… three!
John Walt: And here is your winner of the very first ever “Welcome to the Asylum” Match...Chance Fusion!
JJ: What a win for Chance Fusion here! Now that’s how you start a career!
Larry: That ain’t no lie.
As the crowd sits in anticipation of tonights event, "Higher" by Creed begins to play. Walking out in a black, relaxed suit..Mark Rivera makes his way through the entrance and unto the rampway. Stopping to look over the crowd, Mark signals for one of the many camera men to come to him. Grabbing a camera from the cameraman, Mark Rivera shoots the crowd as they cheer with glee! Handing back the camera, Mark shakes the man's hand and then makes his way to the ring. Walking up the metal steps...Mark carefully enters the ring and accepts the microphone from a nearby ring worker. Behind him, a black leather recliner is sitting. With a wooden nightstand to it's right, there is a glass of water sitting upon it. Mark begins to talk...
"WELL HELLO AND WELCOME TO PAIN IN VAAAAAAAIN!"
The crowd begins to erupt as Mark watches them. Finally, after waving his hands to ask the crowd to calm down, Mark continues...
"Well, here we are. What a night, huh? Pain in Vain is probably one of the most watched events on television and WE ARE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT!"
The crowd erupts once again as the camera tapes the fans.
"So, it is my duty to bring you a telecast on par with what the great people backstage are doing. First up, let's thank Warrior for all the hard work he does week in and week out! C'mon let me hear what this city can do!"
The crowd begins to explode. Stomping their feet and clapping. It is a madhouse!
"So as I was thinking of who I would bring out here, I went through my list. Yes..I made a list and I even checked it twice! Now, at first I thought..let's interview our World Champion Lincoln Daggerson but I think he has enough on his plate doesn't he? Then I figured...let's interview that Oblivion guy. Honestly..he scares the shit out of me. So that is not going to happen. So I figured, why not interview a member from all three teams that are competing tonight for the EUW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!"
The crowd screams with agreement as Mark Rivera smiles.
"Now, if I had asked each one of them to come down to this ring, well..we might have a fight ahead of schedule. Yup, your man Primetime thinks of everything. So I took the time to interview each one of them privately. So please, turn to the videotron. The show is about to begin!"
The monitor on the stage jumps to life. Three members of each team stare back at Mark while he looks on from the ring. Tom Roberts, Matthew Rodriguez, and Alex Falcon each share the screen, televised form their respective locker rooms.
"Now, let's start with you Matt...
The Religion of Hate have been really making a statement since their formation. What do you see as the main strength of the team?"
Rodriguez: "Well lately it has been our form of hatred, but to me it seems to be my weakness. My rage has blinded me from doing the things I have wished to do. Though as far as a strength is concern, I will just say it is our methods of training. We don't focus on the weakness's of the opponents, but the strengths. We choose to destroy all hope of our victims, as Michael would say."
"Well, you certainly are confident aren't you? Then I am guessing on who would be the under dogs here... Alex, Your team is obviously the under dog. Any Comments about the Religion of Hate?"
Alex: "Underdog? Well let me tell you this; Even if we are considered the 'underdog', underdogs always rise to the occasion when it's needed most. I know Xander can handle himself. But I'm sure this question must be on all of your minds; "Can you, Falcon, handle YOURSELF?". If you're too stupid to know the answer, you could call yourself, my opponents. And like you said, yeah, I have a message for the 'ROH'; If you thought you knew pain, just wait til' tonight."
"That certainly makes sense to me. Pain can be a dirty thing. Alex..Anything else you would like to say?"
Alex: "Yes, there is. Something I've tried getting off my chest for a long time now. I don't care, whether I'm the top dog in this company, or considered nothing. It just goes to show you, as you look at yourself in the mirror, to each and every one of these fans that watch the EUW, they are nothing. I see you watching from on your television sets, but until you can actually go through this experience of being called an actual EUW wrestler, you are nothing. You, are not Alex Falcon. You all, have nothing to doubt."
"Wow. Those are strong words. I bet I know someone who is dying to comment. Hey Tommy boy, In your opinion, why do you think your team should be tag team champions?"
Tom: "Why should Joe Dark and myself be champions? I'm almost in shock you ask that. We deserve the titles far more than any of the others, and we're a far better team. I've won those same EUW tag titles twice before, and I started my career years and years ago in ASCW as a tag-team champion. Joe Dark is no worse than I am, either. He's still a bit young, not as ring savvy as seen by last week, but he has all the necessary skills. But, above our own personal merits, we work well as a team, and we have the ability to pull of great things. "
"Teamwork is a must without a doubt. Since you seem to have the inside track on things, Do you have words for your competitors?"
Tom: "Definitely. MdA, Rodriguez, Falcon, Xander... You better watch yourself. I'm not a newbie to this kind of match-up. I've won a belt in this very same match-up to start the reign of the unstopabble Children of the Damned. This tag-team title match isn't a match. It's a war, an all out war. And I plan to be the general on the winning side."
"Well there it is. Matt wanna wrap things up? What do you think of your competitors?"
Matt: ""Any comments? Hmm, how about this for you ladies. Tonight, we will see a end to this story of the tag titles. I guarantee you all that no matter the outcome, I will have the upper hand."
"Well, that match is going to be a slobberknocker! Thank you to all three of you. I, as well as the world, am anxiously awaiting your match tonight. And that wraps up SHOWDOWN! Until next week, where there is a throwdown...you can count on SHOWDOWN!"
JJ: That was an interesting show, but now it’s time for a very heated match.
Larry: This one has tons of emotion going into it.
The lights go out and Not My Time by Three Doors Down begins to play. Lights lit with the Italian flag begin to flash around the ring until Mauricio steps out onto the entrance stage. Gold sparks shimmer as he emerges and he turns around displaying the intensity contained within him and is showered by boos from the crowd. The lights begin to dim back in as he makes his way to the ring.
John Walt: The following match is a No Holds Barred match! Making his way to the ring from Milan, Italy weighing in at 193 pounds… Mauricio Valdez!
He slides in and grabs the Italian flag from the near left ring post and begins waving it around with great pride and then gives it to the ring announcer as the music ends and he awaits his opponent.
Larry: Valdez and that flag…
JJ: He’s just showing pride for his hometown country!
The lights dim down to a dark greenish tone. "X is gonna give it to ya" by DMX blasts out of the arena speakers as Xplode bursts through the curtain. Stopping at the beginning of the ramp way, Xplode takes a drink of his bottle of water then tosses it behind him.
John Walt: And from San Francisco, California weighing in at 260 pounds…
Flicking his hair back, he runs and slides into the ring. Walking over to the turnbuckle post, Xplode raises both arms up and flexes to the fans. Dropping back down to the mat, Xplode then walks to the other side and climbs the turnbuckle yet again. Pointing to the fans, Xplode then points to the heavens. Dropping back to the mat, Xplode is now ready for his match.
JJ: This is one fall to a finish, no holds barred live at Pain In Vain! Here we go.
The ring bell sounds as both men circle each other in the ring. Xplode delivers a kick to the abdomen of Mauricio. Xplode plants his feet into the canvas and whips Valdez into the ropes. Mauricio falls to the mat after being hit with a clothesline. 1… kickout.
Larry: Kickout at one… These guys need to get on with the weapons! It’s No Holds Barred for Christ’s sake!
JJ: Give it time, Larry.
Larry: I’ll toss Xplode my chair! I don’t care!
Xplode begins to stomp Mauricio as he’s still on the canvas. Xplode basically stomps Valdez out of the ring onto the floor below. Xplode poses to the crowd and receives a chant full of boos. Valdez stands back up and Xplode comes out after him. Valdez quickly connects with an uppercut to the jaw of Xplode knocking him off balance. Valdez holds his gut and delivers an elbow shot to the ribs Xplode. Valdez tries his best to slam his opponent’s head onto the steel steps but Xplode reverses and then slams Valdez’s head onto the steel.
Larry: Yes! Finally!
Xplode then whips Valdez into the barricade. Mauricio screams in pain as his back hits the barricade. Xplode takes off the top step and places it on the edge of the ring. This then exposes the bottom half of the ring steps. Xplode then grabs a steel chair from under the ring and slides it in the ring. Xplode then garbs the head of Mauricio and appears he’s about to DDT Valdez onto the steps!
JJ: Xplode’s gonna DDT Valdez on the steel steps!
Larry: This is like a dream come true!
Valdez blocks! The force of the missed DDT sends Xplode nailing the steel with his own back!
Larry: This is a nightmare! Xplode just missed! Damn it!
JJ: I thought you just said this was a dream come true.
Larry: Oh shut up.
As Xplode lies on the ground grabbing his back in pain, Valdez looks under the ring for a weapon. He locates a table and slides it in the ring. Valdez stands on the apron and appears to be going into the ring… He stops and looks at Xplode as he begins getting up… Valdez then runs and leaps into Xplode knocking them both down.
Larry: This freakin’ sucks!
After a few moments of both men being down on the floor, Valdez gets up first. He slides into the ring and begins setting up the table. Xplode gets up but stays hunched down a little. He walks over and grabs Valdez’s flag. After doing so, he grabs a lighter from a fan. Xplode slides into the ring with the flag and lighter. Just as Valdez turns around, Xplode strikes the flame and threatens to burn the flag.
Larry: What a genius! The Strategic Assassin at work!
JJ: Damn right.
Valdez begins to ask him not to burn the flag. Xplode threatens to burn it, but suddenly drops the lighter and clocks Valdez over the head with the flag. Xplode begins hitting him with it several times, eventually breaking the flag on him. Xplode suddenly picks him up and kicks him hard in the gut. Xplode smirks and suddenly lands the Drop Zone. Xplode picks Valdez up once more and grabs him for a second Drop Zone. This time Xplode lands it viciously and drives Valdez head firs into the mat, jarring back at his neck. Xplode goes for an easy cover to garner the 1...2...3! EMTs suddenly rush out to help Valdez to the back.
John Walt: Here is your winner by pinfall...Xplode!
JJ: Wow. I wonder if Valdez is ok.
Larry: Who cares? Xplode has dropped the dead weight and is moving on up!
JJ: And now ladies and gentleman its time for our triple tag team TLC match.
Larry: Oh my!
JJ: Oh my indeed.
John Walt: The first team coming to the ring. At a combined weight of 494 lbs. It is the religion of hate!!
The lights go out in the arena and the music begins to play. The second the music hits loudly, pyros go off around the stages. as the flames are subsiding, Saraphim walks out and spreads here arms slowly to the left and then to the right. She throws her head back and both Archangel and "Rage" walk out to stand behind her. The music continues as they three walk towards the front with pulses of pyros continuing to go off in the background. The two make their way into the ring with Rage hitting the corners as Michael stands in the centre with Saraphim wrapped around his waist. The lights come back on with both men standing there ready to fight.
John Walt: And their opponents. They are the team of Joe Dark and Tom “The Eh” Robbberrrtssss!!
At the start of Beautiful Mourning, the lights of the arena circle and flash reds, the arena cast in to near darkness at the fade of each flash. The camera turns to point towards the entrance gate, and makes it there in time to catch a fountain of sparks that shoots up from the gate at the signal of the first words of the song. The song continues with heavy drumming, although the strumming has slowed, and Joe and Tom makes there way down the ramp. The shouted vocals continue as Tom and Joe venture to the ring. Getting to the ring they stare at the tables, ladders and chairs that surround ringside. They decide to stay outside the ring to talk tactics.
A countdown appears on the titantron, as the timer ticks down from 5, to 0. As soon as it reaches 0, pyro shoots, and Escape by Craig Armstrong plays (1:50 of the song), and the only lights that are on are flashing ones that are hitting the top of the stage, blinking. White smoke surrounds Falcon and Xander, as the fans are on their feet now, booing them. Falcon and Xander look at each other then charge down the ramp towards the ring. Before Walt has enough time to introduce them they have already grabbed a ladder and try to place it in the ring.
JJ: Xander and Falcon looking to go for a quick win here.
Tom tries to grab the ladder off Xander as Dark and Falcon battle alongside them. The 2 battle for the ladder as the religion of hate stand bemused in the ring. Seeing an opportunity Rage runs towards the ropes and flies over them landing on all 4 competitors outside. However Rage crashed into the ladder as well causing him to grab his ribs and scream out in pain.
JJ: My god! This match has only just started and we may already have one casualty.
Larry: 1? Looks like we have 4 of them.
Michael looks down at the fallen rest of his opponents who lie at ringside. Reaching his head out through the ropes Michael goes to grab the ladder that lies against the ring. Xander however sees this and grabs a chair, running towards Michael he smashes the chair across the side of his head making Michael fall out of the ring. Dropping the chair Xander goes and grabs a table and sets it up on top of another at ringside, the crowd cheering at the sight of this. Turning round however he is caught with a ladder to the face, which was thrown by Rage. Throwing him into the ring Rage climbs the turnbuckle and hits a picture perfect frog splash.
JJ: Rage seems to be dominating this contest so far.
Larry: Yeh, but I don’t see him climbing that ladder.
Taunting the crowd Rage is joined by Joe and Tom, both of which are holding steel chairs. Nodding to each other Joe and Tom wait for Rage to turn round and hit a conchairto of sorts, with Joe smashing Rage’s legs and Tom smashing the chair into Rage’s face. Rage rolls out of the ring grasping his face. Throwing the chairs out of the ring Dark goes to get a ladder from ringside. Joe grabs the ladder and starts to pull it into the ring through the middle of the ropes. Out of nowhere Alex Falcon dives off the top rope onto the ladder that is draping out the ring, causing a see saw effect and smashing the ladder into Joes face.
JJ: Easter Bunny !
Larry: That’s a good way to lose some teeth.
Annoyed at what just happened Roberts gets a table from ringside and sets it up in the corner. He then looks round at ringside and sees Michael de Archangel. Grabbing him by the hair he pulls him into the ring and grabs him in a German suplex position. Michael however starts to wriggle out of this and hits a low blow on The Eh. Reversing the manoeuvre he locks in a German suplex of his own. Lifting Tom high up Michael releases him sending Tom crashing head and back first through the table. Seeing the ring is now cleared Michael rushes to grab a ladder and sets it up in the middle of the ring. However at the same time Xander X climbs into the ring and sets up a ladder directly next to Michael’s. Alex Falcon and Joe Dark also join them with Falcon climbing Xander’s ladder and Joe bringing one of his own. All 4 men now start battling each other on top of these ladders.
JJ: This is amazing!
Larry: A fight at the top for the gold, unbelievable.
Joe starts punching Michael, as do Falcon and Xander. Trying to get everyone away from him Michael starts kicking at everyone’s ladders to make them fall. He almost succeeds with Joe’s however Joe jumps across to Michaels ladder and starts punching him from there. Looking towards Xander and Falcon Joe and Michael suddenly begin to team up on them punching them and kicking their ladder. All of a sudden their ladder starts to tip and suddenly fall across causing both Xander and Alex to fall 10 feet to the outside of the ring, crashing through 2 tables.
JJ: Holy shit!
Larry: That was freaking amazing!!!
Both men lie dazed and knocked out outside the ring in a heap of splintered wood. With just Dark and Michael back in the ring the 2 start fighting once more. Punch after punch each man starts to get weary, however Joe hits one final punch causing Michael to slump against the top of the ladder. All of a sudden Joe flips over Michael grabbing his legs on the way down and hitting a perfect sunset flip, both men crash to the canvas in a heap. The crowd go wild at the action that has happened before them. Rage then climbs in the ring with yet another ladder and sets it up with another one facing it directly. Then he grabs an even bigger ladder lying it down between the two creating a bridge between them.
JJ: Oh god. That’s an ungodly structure right there.
Rage then goes to ringside searching and calling out for his partner Michael de Archangel. Sneakily however Tom Roberts climbs into the ring and starts to climb the triple ladder structure. He gets to the middle where he is balancing trying to reach the titles but not fall through the rungs. Rage shocked sees this happening and jumps to the apron. Holding the ropes Rage propels himself into the air and hits a spear on Tom sending both men to the canvas below. The crowd go crazy.
JJ: Oh god!
Larry: What else will these men put themselves through?
Xander and Alex are beginning to stir on the outside now. About to go into the ring. With everyone but Michael down though, Michael sees his chance. He begins climbing the ladders, hoping he can get a hold of the titles. Xander and Alex are finally up With them and Michael the only ones up, both slides into the ring. Xander starts climbing the free ladder. Alex goes up the one that Michael is on though, hitting him a few times. Suddenly Alex grabs him and leaps off the ladder for the Lucid Shadow. With both men on the ground, Xander makes the final rungs and grabs the tag team titles.
John Walt: And here are your winners and NEW EUW Tag Team Champions...Xander X and Alex Falcon!
JJ: Wow! What a win for these two!
Larry: And this is the first time either man has held championship gold!
JJ: What a match though. That was just amazing.
Larry: Amazing or not, it’s time for us to find out who the new #1 Contender is going to be.
Larry: Well now we get to an interesting match up. This one has been a long time coming.
J.J: It sure has, this match will be complete mayhem as The Creep squares off against the Big Dog..Oblivion. The winner of this match will declare who is the number one contender for the EUW Heavyweight Championship belt! If you ask me…both the competitors have had this chance coming their way for quite sometime.
Larry: EXACTLY! The Creep has been an absolute wrecking ball here in the EUW since his arrival. Making a name for himself while achieving win after win, he fought long and hard to have this shot at the title.
J.J: And then we have his opponent, Oblivion. What is left to be said about this man. Since his return to the EUW he has been on absolute fire. Blazing a trail of destruction, the man who makes his home on the dark side has achieved legendary status as being a fan favorite here in the EUW, and if you ask me Larry, the fans can make the difference!
Larry: I sure as hell would not want to be in the middle of this one..let’s get this match started!
John Walt: The following match will be under the one fall rule. The winner will be the Number One contender for the EUW Heavyweight Championship! And now for our first competitor! Hailing frpm Manchestor, England..he is THE CREEP!
As ‘Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)’ starts the arena goes black with only the flashing of cameras lighting the room. The guitar stops and when it re enters sparks come up from the stage engulfing it in white light. The Creep comes through the sparks in his wrestling attire. He walks down the ramp barely noticing the fans and approaches the ring. He slides under the ropes and jumps up screaming at the air above him. The Creep then waits for his opponent.
And his opponent..
The lights dim down. Noises are heard form the stage near the entrance. A few instruments are heard warming up. Then…BAM! Explosions sound off loudly as the band MEGADETH is seen playing live on the side of the entranceway! Pumping out the opening riffs to their hit single…Symphony of Destruction, the band plays to a sold out audience here at Pain in Vain. With strobe lights flashing, the band begins prepare for the chorus when suddenly the music along with the lights just….stop.
“ Your hell begins now!”
Oblivion’s voice booms from the speakers as the lights blink back on! Sitting on top of the stage on a dark red Harley Davidson, Oblivion scans over the crowd as they emit a thunderous applause! Megadeth picks up where they left off and blasts their chorus as Oblivion throttles the engine of his bike and blasts down the runway towards the ring. With flags waving from behind his bike reading “Pain in Vain”, he circles the ring and parks it back at the entrance ramp. Shutting down his bike, Oblivion dismounts his ride and stares at Megadeth. Lead singer David Mustaine points at Oblivion as Oblivion points back. Then, rolling into the ring, Oblivion raises both arms high into the air causing the fans to scream in approval.
Larry: What a way to enter! Oblivion‘s fans are just like nothing we have ever seen here!
J.J: And with the band called Megadeth actually playing his theme song, this is proving to be night to remember!
As the music dies down, the ref signals for the bell. Patting both his legs, Creep begins to walk towards Oblivion. Meanwhile, unaware of Creep’s actions, Oblivion has his back turned while he hands his black leather trench coat to a ring worker. Without hesitation, Creep flies at the back of Oblivion unloading a forearm to his shoulder blades! Momentarily pushed forward, Oblivion quickly snaps his head around as if he didn’t feel a thing and gets right into Creep’s face. Not wanting to let up, Creep unloads a fist to the jaw of Oblivion! Oblivion retaliates with a fist of his own! The two of them take turns sending punch after punch as if it was a boxing match. Slowly making their way back to center ring, the two warriors box it out. Ducking, Creep moves under Oblivion’s right fist and quickly Irish whips him into the ropes to the left. Reversing the whip instead, Oblivion sends Creep towards the ropes and follows behind him. With a huge clothesline, Creep is sent tumbling out of the ring. Holding unto Oblivion’s arm, Creep pulls Oblivion with him causing both fighters to tumble outside.
Larry: Oh My GAWD!
J.J: That’s right Larry, we KNEW this would be absolute war!
As both fighters get back on their feet, Creep acts first and runs at Oblivion. With a quick kick to Oblivion’s gut, Creep backs up to follow it up with a kick to the jaw. The force of the hit sends Oblivion flailing unto the announcer’s table. Meanwhile the ref begins to count out both competitors.
(1...2.…..3.….4) Creep rolls into the ring and rolls back out stopping the count.
Walking over to the steel steps, Creep removes the top layer. As he turns around, Creep finds himself face to face with Oblivion. With cat like reflexes, Creep drops the stairs in front of him and then grabs Oblivion’s head, sending him face first into the cold unforgiving steel. Rolling off the stairs and unto his back, Oblivion lays there holding his arm.
J.J: That’s right! Oblivion had separated his arm last week! Will this be the deciding factor?
The crowd begins to shout out Oblivion’s name as Creep continues the assault. Rolling back into the ring and once again back out to stop the count, Creep grabs Oblivion and places him back on the announcer’s table. Climbing up unto the table himself, Creep grabs both of Oblivion’s arms to set up “The Creeper”.
Larry: This is absolute carnage! Don’t do it! Creep you sick bastard..Don’t even think it!
Pulling back slightly Creep begins to apply the move when all of a sudden he is stopped by the sheer power of Oblivion! Slapping both hands away, Oblivion stands straight up and grabs Creep’s neck with one hand. Lifting him high into the air, Oblivion sends The Creep crashing down off the table and into the chairs placed nearby. Bending over and catching his breath, Oblivion looks up at the crowd through his bloody and bruised face. The crowd screams in absolute shock as The Creep is pictured laying unconscious on the floor in a pool of blood.
“HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! …HOLY SHIT!”
Slowly descending from the table, Oblivion points at the crowd through one of his black gloved hands and re-enters the ring to stop the ref’s count at 8. Oblivion begins to exit the ring as the ref tries to stop him. Yelling at the ref for interfering, Oblivion wipes away the blood on his face as it smears through his hair. At this time, Creep begins to stir on the outside.
J.J: I am in complete shock Larry. Who would have guessed this outcome?
Larry: What I am wondering is how much of the winner will be left when this is all over!
As Creep slowly climbs up on the ring skirt, Oblivion reaches over the top rope to grab Creep’s blood stained hair. With a head butt to Oblivion’s gut, Creep shoves Oblivion into the referee standing behind him causing the ref to fall down unconscious. As Oblivion starts to walk towards Creep, Creep quickly leaps to the top rope and jumps at Oblivion unleashing a Frog Splash from the outside! The two warriors fall to the ground holding their bruised bodies. Slowly crawling to the outside of the ring, Creep lets himself slip out and land outside. Reaching under the apron, Creep pulls out a table.
J.J: Creep is pulling out all the stops Larry!
Pushing it into the ring, Creep rolls under the ropes and grabs for the table. As he begins to stand up with it, Creep meets the bottom of Oblivion’s foot as Oblivion gives him the big boot to his chin. This causes Creep to drop the table and slam into the turnbuckle behind him. Oblivion, without a hesitation, reaches for Creep. As a last ditch effort, Creep sweeps Oblivion’s feet out from under him. Rolling on top of him, Creep grabs the big legs of Oblivion and locks in the Boston Crab! The referee, now up and moving, begins to clumsily walk towards the table then removes it from ringside. Dropping to his stomach, the ref begins to wait for Oblivion to tap out. With blood pouring from Oblivion’s wound below his eye and his face beat red, Oblivion holds his hand out towards the fans, calling for their support!
Larry: Oblivion is asking for the fans to get involved! Will they make the difference?
J.J: Those fans mean everything to Oblivion, he feeds on their energy!
The fans begin to erupt as they scream for Oblivion to respond. The referee begins to lift Oblivion’s hand.
( 1.…..Oblivion’s hand drops. Creep continues to apply pressure)
The fans pound their feet and chant “Oblivion!”
(2.…Oblivion’s hand drops)
The arena is deafening as the ring is covered in blood.
(The ref raises Oblivion’s hand for 3 when out of no where, Oblivion bounces back to life!)
Reaching to the fans once again, Oblivion’s eyes roll back as he begins to push up off the mat and over power Creep. Shaking his head in denial, Creep tries desperately to lean back and lock it back in. With no chance to over power Oblivion, he is thrown forward unto his stomach. Getting to his feet as fast as he can, Creep turns around only to find himself looking into the chest of Oblivion. As if lifting a piece of paper, Oblivion grabs Creep by both hands and lifts him high into the air. Holding him up in the air for a few seconds, Oblivion slams Creep down on his back than follows it up with a stomp to Creep’s face. The crowd roars in approval!
Larry: If I didn’t see it, I would not have believed it. That man is SUPERNATURAL!
Oblivion sees the match nearing it’s end as he lifts Creep off the ground. Oblivion goes to grab him, but Creep dodges out of the way and behind Oblivion. Creep then grabs him and lands an amazing german suplex. Creep sees himself gaining momentum as he lifts Oblivion off the ground and grabs him for The Creeper. Creep goes to hit it, but Oblivion pushes him off. Creep goes back and attempts to grab him, but Oblivion kicks him in the gut and suddenly lifts him up, landing Ride the Lightning. Oblivion hooks the leg for 1...2...3! Creep looks almost entirely knocked out by the move, not moving at all. The referee panics and holds his arms up in an ‘X’ as EMTs rush out to tend to Creep.
John Walt: And here is your winner by pinfall...Oblivion!
JJ: Oblivion has done it! He is the new #1 Contender!
Larry: What a match that was.
“Iron Man” by Black Sabbath sounds throughout the arena as the EUW Commissioner steps out onto the entrance ramp. A scared and nervous Hi Octane is following closely behind him as he makes his way to the ring. Warrior holds a microphone in his hand, and appears to be trying to ignore Hi Octane. Both men eventually arrive at the ring and get in as Warrior begins to talk.
Warrior: Well Hi Octane, as mad as I am at you about the...mistakes you’ve made recently. Your idea about the Welcome to the Asylum match was good, so I’m not going to just outright fire you. But I can’t ignore the problems Lo Hydro has been causing. So right here right now, it’s going to be Hi Octane vs. Lo Hydro in a no disqualification match! If you manage to win, then I am going to fire Lo Hydro. But if you lose, I will be forced to fire you both.
Hi Octane’s eyes get wide as “Atlantis” by Donovan hits the arena and none other than Lo Hydro steps onto the stage. Hydro holds his arms into the air to receive several boos. Hydro smirks under his mask then makes his way to the ring. Once Hydro reaches the ring, he slides in as Octane looks as if he’s trying to get himself ready somehow. Lo Hydro smirks as Warrior calls for the bell. The match begins with Warrior standing on the outside with the microphone as if he’s going to do commentary on the match.
Warrior: And this match is finally under way.
Lo Hydro suddenly runs at Hi Octane as if for a clothesline, but Octane ducks it. Octane then jumps and lands a dropkick. Octane starts running around the ring shocked that he even pulled it off. Octane finally stops and grabs Lo Hydro as if he’s going to end it right here with the Hi Altitude, but Hydro slips out of it. He suddenly hits Hi Octane with a Reverse Atomic Drop.
Warrior: He calls that the Lo Altitude folks!
Lo Hydro quickly hooks the leg of Hi Octane and Warrior counts a quick pin of 1..2..Octane barely kicks out in time.
Warrior: That was a quick count by the referee, Warrior.
Octane begins to get to his feet as Lo Hydro attempts to hit him with the Lo Altitude again, but Octane slips out of it. Octane suddenly pushes Lo Hydro away from him and...sticks his hand down his own tights. And Octane pulls out...a sock full of quarters! Octane holds the sock full of nickels and goes full swing clocking Lo Hydro in the head with the sock full of nickels. Warrior slides in to count a slow pin of 1........2........3!
Warrior: And here is your winner via sock full of nickels.......Hi....Octane...
Warrior raises Octane’s hand in victory and he then waits for Lo Hydro to eventually reach his feet.
Warrior: Well Lo Hydro, you lost this match so I have been left without a choice. You’re fire-
"Red Magic" by The Game and Lil Wayne suddenly plays over the loudspeakers. To the crowd's dismay, King Carter appears at the top of the ramp, dressed in a small red t-shirt, slim blue jeans, and red-and-white Jordan's. Behind him are two larger men, dressed in tight black security t-shirts, black jeans, and black boots. King Carter walks to the ring at a medium pace and slides under the third rope. His two bodyguards stand on opposite sides of the ring. King Carter looks at Warrior, and then grabs Lo Hydro by the arm and pulls him aside him. King Carter gets thrown a mic from one the guards.
Warrior: What in the hell do you think you’re doing King?
King Carter: You cannot fire Lo Hydro.
Lo Hydro looks at King Carter and smiles gleefully, and jumps up and down ecstatically. Warrior looks a bit surprised, and Hi Octane is left slightly stunned as well.
Warrior: And what makes you think you can tell me what I can and can’t do?
King Carter: Because, he's my assistant.
Warrior: Assistant? Why do you need an assistant? And how does that mean I can’t fire him?
King Carter: I will attempt to explain something to you Warrior, and the rest of the feeble-minded audience. The disappearance of the man known as King Carter has of course brought dismay to that of the intelligent portion of the EUW fan base. The intelligent side of people know the trouble you have caused to EUW, and not the help you assume you've brought. These 'blockbuster' matches you've grown to announce have been all than that, and often very much disappointing. The times of wellness and prosperity in EUW have long since faded since your time as Commissioner of EUW.
Warrior: Get to the point, and quickly. I’m getting impatient.
King Carter: In my absence, I have grown to befriend the entire Board of Directors. They've told me of their dislike towards you and your work ethic. Yet they've never been able to snatch you from your position because there was no other man to take your place, with the infamous Ashton Matthews of course long gone in EUW history. Well I'd like to announce to you Warrior, that that man has finally stepped up. A man has finally come to save EUW from the depths of hell it has exceedingly fallen into. Without any further ado, I'd like to announce that Lo Hydro is the assistant of the new President of EUW, Mister King Carter. Say hello to your new boss.
With that, King Carter leaves the ring as Warrior stands there stunned. Lo Hydro sticks out his tongue and then lunges forward with a punch at Hi Octane. Octane flinches and Hydro laughs. Warrior then pretends to punch Hydro, who then flinches out of the ring. Lo Hydro puts on a fake laugh as the security guards lift him and take him backstage. Warrior stands in the ring with his hands on his hips, still stunned at what happened.
JJ: Well, I’m not even sure what to think about that.
Larry: Wow. Yeah....uhh...wow.
JJ: Well as shocking as that was, it is now time for the Pure Title match.
Silence fills the arena as the all the lights dim out. A few faint whispers from the crowd are all that fill the void. Then a sickening and sadistic laughter begins to come across the PA system. The stage then lights up in a dark red color as the laughter continues. The voice then says quietly, "Quote The Sick 1.... Evermore." The crowd then knows who is coming out and the Titantron lights up with a black screen on it in sketchy red letters are "T S" Then "The Thing That Should Not Be" by Metallica starts and the arena begins to shake. A flurry of red and orange lights begin to swirl around the arena as the song begins to kick into full gear. Then Trent Sickness walks out from behind the curtain wearing his old school cut off jean shorts and white wife beater.. His head is looking straight forward at the ring eyes locked onto the squared circle. The crowd cheers immensly as Trent begins to walk down the aisle. Trent stares straight forward at the ring ahead not even caring about the fans that cheer and reach out for him. He walks calmly over to the stairs and climbs them giving the crowd determined looks with each step. Trent climbs into the ring and walks to the center of the ring. His eyes lock onto the camera as he throws his arms out in a christ-like pose then bring them slowly in front of his chest making a X shape. Trent breaks the pose and begins his pre-match warm-ups....
"Psycho" by Puddle of Mudd hits the sound system and Evan Black walks out to a huge ovation. He is wearing black tights and a EUW t-shirt. He walks down to the ring and jumps in quickly, climbing the top ropes and throwing the shirt into the crowd. He jumps off and turns to face his opponent.
Trent Sickness and Evan Black look at each other as the bell rings to start off the match. Cautiously they both edge their way towards the center of the ring. They proceed with great caution so that neither is caught unaware and is hit with a move that could potentially decrease their chance at winning. Finally the two meet each other in the center of the ring and they tie up. However, Trent uses his noticeable size advantage to shove Evan Black away and when Evan comes back at Trent, Trent pushes him to the side to get out of his way and lands a huge lariat on Evan as he bounces off the ropes. Trent quickly pops down to a knee as Evan Black sits back up, but finds himself being put in a sleeper by Trent.
JJ: And there’s the sleeper by the veteran.
Trent locks down on this hold, trying to fade all of Evan’s energy to black, so to speak. Evan seems to be reeling and losing his energy as Trent clamps down the hold, however, when the ref walks over to Evan and raises his arm, Evan refuses to show even an ounce of weakness as he doesn’t let his arm drop, but instead he slams his elbow back into Trent’s stomach, making Trent nearly lose his grip. After another elbow, Evan is beginning to get up to his feet and Trent releases his hold. Evan now runs to the ropes and when he comes back at Trent he leaps up and slams into Trent with his knee hitting The Sickness clean in the jaw. Trent bounces back and rebounds off the ropes, but Black keeps on top of his game as Black sends a huge kick to Trent’s stomach, forcing Trent to double over. Immediately following this kick Black slams Trent head first into the mat with a DDT.
Larry: Veteran or not, a DDT like that will knock your lights out.
After hitting a huge DDT, Evan Black covers Trent, 1…2…Trent kicks out of the pin. Evan, albeit a little frustrated that Trent didn’t use one of his three rope breaks, gets back up to his feet and heads to the center of the ring, giving a clean break for Trent to get up to his feet. The crowd cheers Evan’s actions, as they are glad that Evan isn’t trying to take advantage of Trent while he is down. Trent takes his time getting to his feet, realizing that Evan is not on top of him. Finally Trent is up to his feet and Evan sprints at him, however Trent launches Evan up and over the ropes, sending Evan crashing down to the hard floor below.
JJ: Wow! That’s gotta hurt!
Trent forms an X with his arms as he taunts Evan Black, trying to get under Black’s skin. However, Black seems to not see Trent and Trent becomes agitated at waiting for Black to get back up and in the ring, so at the refs six count, Trent goes out of the ring and forces the ref to restart the count as he lifts Evan up to his feet and whips him into the side of the ring. Evan grabs at his back as it collides with the corner of the ring, inducing a fairly large amount of pain in Evan’s back. Evan though, doesn’t remain at this point for long as Trent quickly yanks Evan’s arm and whips him into the steel barricade, allowing Evan’s back to collide with the metal, causing even more pain in Evan’s back. Evan pulls at his back as he is in constant pain, but Trent doesn’t allow him to rest as he throws his opponent back in the ring and quickly follows suit.
Larry: Trent staying on his opponent here.
Trent pulls Black up to his feet after tossing him back into the ring and from this point Trent nails a huge right hand on Black, making Black walk back and turn his back to Trent. His back is a bright red from all the collisions it has recently taken, and Trent finds this to be a weak point. Trent quickly goes to work on Black’s back as he lifts Black up from behind and drives him to the back with a belly-to-back suplex. Black again slams into the mat back first and grabs at his back, while Trent is merciless and gets right back up and looks at Black before flipping him onto his stomach, jumping up and driving his knee into Black’s back. Black grinds his teeth after receiving the impact of Trent’s knee against his back. But, Trent is still merciless as he now goes to Blacks legs and pulls one back as far as he possibly can, synching in a single leg Boston crab. Black claws his fingernails into the mat as he is dragged to the center of the ring by Trent, as Trent tries to force Black to tap out. Black slowly crawls his way back to the ropes, as it is clear that he wants to make use of one of his three rope breaks to get out of this hold. Trent allows Black to slowly edge closer to the ropes, but when Black is seemingly within a split-second of grabbing the rope Trent tortures him by dragging him all the way back to the other side of the ring.
JJ: Black almost had the ropes there. So close yet so far away.
Black’s face shows a huge amount of pain as the crowd chants “Please don’t tap” at him. Evan refuses to tap out as he begins to spin his body in a circle, and before Trent can again pull him to the center of the ring Evan Black reaches his arms out as far as he possibly can and grabs the bottom rope, utilizing one of his rope breaks to force Trent to release the hold. However, Trent refuses to do so immediately following Evan grabbing the rope and allows the ref to start a five count. At the ref’s four count Trent releases the hold and receives a verbal reprimand from the ref as he cockily grins while the crowd boos him.
Larry: The crowd’s not liking this.
The ref demands that Trent gives a clean break to Evan Black, however Trent simply shoves the referee out of his way and goes back to work on Evan’s back, slamming his boot into it several times. Finally Trent begins to lifts Evan up, however while Evan is being lifted to his feet, Evan grabs Trent’s knees and rolls him up into a small package, 1…2…Trent just kicks out of the cover as Evan gets back up to his feet, holding at his back. However, once Trent turns around and looks at Evan, Evan goes to work on Trent, slamming him in the face with a couple punches. After two punches Trent attempts to land one on Evan, but Evan ducks underneath of it and gets behind Trent and pulls “The Sick1” back and cracks his neck over his knee. After doing this Evan lays on the ground and locks Trent into a body scissors with a dragon lock. While holding this move on, doing a huge amount of damage to Trent’s neck, Trent lays back and puts Evan’s shoulders to the mat for a pin, 1…2…Evan is able to just rolls his body over putting Trent on his stomach.
JJ: What a close pinfall there, I thought it was over.
From this point Evan quickly releases the body scissors and pulls Trent’s arms back and puts them over his knees before wrenching back the dragon lock, putting Trent in a modified version of a camel clutch. Trent kicks his legs in pain as he tries to garner up some friction with the mat as he begins to edge himself closer to the rope. After about twenty seconds of remaining in this tiring hold, Trent is able to put his left foot on the rope and Evan reluctantly breaks the hold and goes to the center of the ring, allowing Trent to get up.
Larry: This could be a mistake by Evan.
Both men are now tied with only two rope breaks left for each and Evan impatiently waits for Trent to get back up to his feet. Trent slowly gets up to his feet, holding onto his neck, which is still sore from being wrenched back by Evan’s modified camel clutch. Using the ropes, Trent eventually gets on his feet and Evan sprints at him, this time slamming into Trent using a huge lariat, which sends both men over the top rope. Evan is able to land on his feet on the outside of the ring and is ready to start annihilating Trent as he pulls Trent back up to his feet and slams his face into the steel post of the turnbuckle. After doing this, Trent seems to almost be out on his feet, and Evan has a devilish idea and he goes to the side diagonal to Trent, putting a steel post in between the two. Evan soon after doing this grabs Trent by the wrists and stands close to the pole, but he doesn’t remain there long as he soon jets back sending Trent face first into the steel. Trent’s nose crushes inwards and begins to bleed profusely, making it quite possible that his nose has been broken.
JJ: I think his nose is broken! Oh my god!
The blood seeps down into Trent’s mouth and finally Trent is awoken by the taste of his own blood and he yanks his arms back, holding firmly onto Evan’s wrists making Evan slam face first into the steel. Evan’s forehead is busted open as it is the first to slam into the steel edge of the turnbuckle post. Enraged that Trent has stolen his idea, Evan again pulls his body back and slams Trent back into the metallic post, making bleed even more. After slamming Trent into the steel post, Evan releases Trent’s wrists and pulls his body away from Trent so he isn’t slammed into the post again. As soon as Evan does this he runs back to where Trent is, but he is greeted only by a huge right hand by Trent. This right hand leaves Evan dazed as Trent whips him to the other side of the ring, making him run to the furthest part of the steel barricade. Trent sprints after Evan as Evan makes his way to the barricade, however when Evan does finally reach the barricade he leaps up onto it, finds his balance as he lands perfectly on it, turns his body around and leaps back off of it and wraps his arm around Trent’s face and slamming him into the floor with a huge DDT.
Larry: There’s another huge ddt! It could be over right here!
The crowd goes insane after watching Trent’s face slammed into the ground and waits to see what else Evan can think of. However, Evan’s time to do anything else is cut short as he gets up to his feet and realizes the ref is at sixteen so he quickly rolls in the ring then quickly back out to restart the count. This split second of a rest is enough time for Trent Sickness to recuperate as he gets back up onto his feet and as Evan runs at him he kicks him clear in the stomach. Evan doubles over while Trent grabs him from the back of the neck and throws him right into the steel barricade, sending his back into it after flipping him over and sending him into the barricade. Trent grins, thinking he has outsmarted Evan and he is now in the driver’s seat. Trent grabs Evan, who is folded against the barricade having landed on his back from being flipped, and throws him into the ring.
JJ: And Trent staying on him. He can’t let up for a second.
Trent also slides into the ring and lifts both himself and Evan to their feet and whips Evan to the ropes. Evan sprints to the ropes, rebounds and once he reaches Trent, Trent lifts him up and flips him over before cracking him down over his back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Evan falls to the mat again and grabs at his back while Trent quickly flips him over and covers him, 1…2…Evan just barely gets his shoulder up off the mat, much to the delight of the crowd. Trent is irate that Evan was able to kick out and he gets back up to his feet and pulls Evan up with him. However, Evan is able to gain a second wind and he dodges a punch from Trent and kicks Trent hard in the stomach, then again in the head. Trent begins to fall backwards, but Evan stops him and suddenly hits the Paint it Black out of nowhere! 1...2...3!
John Walt: And here is your winner by pinfall...and still the Pure Champion....Evan Black!
JJ: What a match between these two!
Larry: They just tore the house down there!
JJ: That’ll be hard to follow. But if anyone can follow it, these two can. Because it’s time for the World Heavyweight Championship Match!
