I don't want to request a banner.. I want to learn how to make my own.. I made my avatar and banner I have now but I am not that good. What programs do you guys use and is there any tutorials.. I use simple programs for my banner making.. I use a small program called photo-brush.

Photoshop. Simple as that.
It's tough to use at first, but after practice it becomes the tool of choice. They have thousands upon thousands of tutorials for it.
The only problem is actually finding a decent version of it for free. I got Portable Photoshop CS which runs off my memory stick..I'll try and find the download link

I personally use photoshop pro. It is pricey..(got it from work). I would recommend The Gimp.

It has everything photoshop elements does and it is free.
Check it out!

I use Photoshop CS2, thanks to King. Downloaded the demo then used a keygen to get it converted to the full version. I'm sure he has the link...somewhere. But as for learning to make banners, I'll try to give advice. But I basically taught myself. You'll want a PSD to start with, if you can get one. Here's an example. Say I'm making a Stone Cold banner. So I want a Stone Cold PSD or two, I get mine from psdprotocol.com, and then you want a basic background. You can do solid color, find something online that looks nice. Or render clouds, which I can explain if you like. Make your background, change the sizes of the PSDs to fit the banner, then copy and paste them onto it. From there, play with the blending properties, and maybe put a solid color overlay to bring the whole thing together. Find a good text and put that. Best text place online is www.dafont.com. Add a border, and you're done. I'm sure I oversimplified that it probably sounds more complicated to you than it does to me. But that's my very basic process when making one. Then for other things, you can find custom brushes and play with settings and tutorials to figure out different techniques. The best thing with photoshop is experience. Just spend time playing with it, you get the hang of it eventually.

Eh, I don't trust Limewire with .exe files. Just me. I'm sure if anyone really needed it, they might be able to get King to dig up those links. And if he finds them again, I should probably save them somewhere. Because I'm always wondering about them...and can never find em again.
